eBay Trust & Safety Team Investigation Repost #3 Opinions Please

I keep having this post taken down by eBay, I'm going to continue posting it indefinitely until eBay refunds my money & gives me my seller accounts back. I've attached around 1/10th of the emails I've received from their back office team. This is about the most repulsive thing I've ever dealt with.

 

I started selling on eBay back in 2004, & my account had 272 100% Positive Feedback Until October 2017, & I broke my back, which tore my Spinal Cord. I was in the hospital for 6 months over that. I had my account hacked, & someone sold 3 iPhones on my @gma_452001 account leaving me with 3 negative feedback. My seller performance is still above Standard on that account, & my account @jrm_performance, which I opened in 2020. I started selling on my second account in 2023, & I was starting to get decent sales. I found out the hard way that once you sell an item over $750, prepare for submitting countless documents to eBays back-office team, which I found out isn’t even connected to eBay, they just contract out to them. You cannot call them, & you have wait at least 72 hours per submission to hear back from them. All they are good for is asking for more documentation.

 

The Back Office Team made me Submit Proof of Bank Address, Proof of EIN, Certificate of Good Standing with the State of Arkansas, Proof of purchases for every Item that I had ever Listed, & Proof of Bank Statements for the Purchases. All of the mentioned submissions were separate, & I had to wait 72 hours then submit more documentation each time. After submitting the Bank Statements, their back-office team indefinitely suspended my account, because they then found my @gma_452001 account that had been hacked in 2017.

 

I then was told by 3 different eBay Reps in the Trust in Safety Department, that if I submitted documentation showing that I was hospitalized in 2017, that they would reinstate both of my seller accounts. After MULTIPLE submissions, & 32 days’ worth of submissions, eBays back-office team indefinitely suspended my @gma_452001 account, stating that I was a risk to the community. I find that very offensive on a legendary level. eBay has more nude photos for sell than on porn hub. eBay also charged me $27.95 for an upgraded store, even after shutting down my store over 30 days ago. They also INSTANTLY refunded a buyer $199.98, because he claimed that he didn’t receive the storage drive that I sent him, 10 days after the fact that it was delivered according the USPS. No investigation done or anything, since my account was restricted, eBay just refunded their money back, stealing $199.98 from me. They also haven’t paid for Wilwood Brake Fluid that I sold, & owe me $78 for that. THANKFULLY I had a supervisor tell me to refund the $3,400 Wilwood Brake Kit that I sold, which started all of this non-sense. The supervisor feared that eBay would never pay me for that, & I’d be out the $3,400 as well. I’ve been selling on Walmart, Amazon, my website JRMPerformanceParts.com, Shopify, Facebook Market Place, Instagram, TIKTOK, & other similar platforms. None have treated me this poorly. Like I said, both of my accounts show above standard, & are both close to 100% positive feedback. My @jrm_performance is 100% Positive. Keep in mind eBay Reps told me that has nothing to do it. CLEARLY! My advice to everyone, I would save your time & avoid eBay at all costs. They are not a Company that I would do business with.

That's about what I feel like when eBay keeps warning about not being respectful to people mouthing off to me lol. I can't catch a break with eBay, they are starting to act like my mother lmao!!

Nobody has called you a name, or expressed hate speech towards you,what you call 'mouthing off' is just posters trying to understand what exactly happened. Again, Ebay does not monitor the board.

Sad thing is eBay is actually a really good platform to sell on minus them charging 13.25% final value fee for starter stores, & 11.35% with a basic store. Ol' eBay tried to argue about that too, until I put them in their place & they refunded back some of my money. I honestly have no idea how eBay is still in business. I think businesses that have been selling for a while have nothing to worry about, but if your seller account is fairly new, bots are all over you. ESPECIALLY if you receive a complaint or 2, you're pretty much toast at that point lol.

Agreed, new sellers who get a couple of complaints are on their radar.

Underrated comment here.  Not just problems.  Opening a second account after being suspended is in & of itself, a legit reason (to eBay) to close the second acct/kick them off, without anything else having to happen.  You may not like this or agree with it, but just opening that second acct is all they need to kick you off for good.

I still don't know what happened with the buyer that bought that storage drive from me. I honestly think that his computer didn't work with the drive, because it really only works well with Generation 4 Motherboards, & Graphics Cards, & the drive is a Generation 3. I could be wrong but I bet I'm right. Either I'm right or someone stole it out of his mailbox, because the Postal Service showed it placed in mailbox on the 7th.

I think the previous poster has a valid point with you opening the second account. Then not responding to the buyers inr case,the warning about the digital items sales,the hacked account with the phone sales and neg fb...its just one big ball of problems with your selling account, and Ebay suspended your sales for good.Too much trouble in their eyes. Sorry.

I mean worse things have happened, I got my Website lined out, & it's placing me pretty decently on Google after I got the SEO lined out. I don't have to worry about too much fraud hosting my own website, but some people only will buy on eBay or Amazon.

My buddy is trying to get to me sell on Shopify, he told me eBay doesn't appreciate the hard work that I put into my listings. I take pride in everything I do. My listings that were on eBay were hand crafted, hours spent on every listing, just to be restricted. I have worse luck than anyone I've seen, but I also have good luck. I tore my spinal cord, & I'm walking around like nothing had happened. I have a rib for a T12 Vertebrae. Most people think I'm lying when I show them my Xrays of Shattered hips & broken vertebrae lol!

That's not correct. It was February 17th at 5:03am that the buyer asked ebay to step in. So the complaint had to have been filed 3+ days prior. 

 

And when the complaint was filed, it was at THAT time that you had 48 hours to reply.
