eBay September Updates

eBay has released September Updates for UK and Germany.

Nothing super exciting - eBay will now be sending more "nudges" to reminder sellers to ship if an item is past their stated handling time and they also posted a reminder to update pre-loved fashion conditions.

Looks like the same for shipping reminders and pre-loved fashion conditions, plus the new INR protections if you use eBay labels that was announced at Open, price suggestions in the mobile app, and some vague updates about VeRO that just says they're updating help and policy pages to make IP policies more clear and for items that are flagged, sellers will theoretically get a clearer explanation and better guidance on ways to resolve or appeal the decision.

I guess "nudging" us is a popular thing right now.  I just recently started getting notices to finish my drafts. 🙄

Re Vero - they could better protect sellers by telling Vero users that if they do NOT respond to the seller in a certain time frame the claim will be considered void and the listing will be reinstated.

Tired of the ones that use Vero to get legit stuff taken down and get away with by simply ignored any response from the seller.

At this time, all ebay does is shrug and say "oh well, nothing we can do".

As far as the 'nudging to ship' they've been doing that for a while and it's irritating. The majority of my FB mention super fast shipping and if it hasn't shipped on time there's a reason and the buyer already knows of the delay and why.

@valueaddedresource  No big surprises in the Sept update. With Q4 almost here, I admit I was hanging on to a thin thread of hope that the Sept Update might include something that would make me say "Wow! This could really help us in Q4!"

But yeah, here we are, Q4 a couple weeks away, and .... this is what we get.

As the years go on sellers are treated more and more like machines owned and operated by ebay, members are looked upon as drones, not the the nice place to sell that it was when I joined 23 years ago.
