Did you mean:

do I need to use "Time away"

I have 1 day handling and plan to be gone from 5PM Thursday and back Tuesday AM.

I think I will be Ok shipping everything that comes in after 5PM on Thursday on Tuesday.

Am I figuring this correctly or do I need to shut down from 5PM thursday until Friday evening?

Re: do I need to use "Time away"

As long as eBay is seeing Monday as a Holiday you would be OK if you have a "daily cut off time set".

For me, with no cut off, i believe  anything paid  by 11;59:59 pacific time would need to ship Friday with 1 day handle.

Sometimes they can not seem to get Holidays right.

Anything sold on Thursday should be shipped on Friday.  With the holiday, anything sold on Friday - Monday, is OK to ship on Tuesday.

Best to just edit all listings starting now- having 3 day handling time as 'time away' takes a while for items to show up again.

But, it you don't want to do that, then- Yes; and start it on Wednesday Midnight returning on Friday as anything sold Thursday up until 11:59 PM, has to be shipped on Friday.

Re: do I need to use "Time away"

eBay doesn't recognize 5 PM as a cutoff for 1-day handling. Anything that is paid for by midnight on Thursday would have to be shipped on Friday in order to count as one-day handling.  So if you can't ship on Friday then you have to either set your handling time to 2 days, or activate "Time away" for Thursday so you aren't expected to ship on Friday.

With Monday as a postal holiday, items paid for any time Friday through Monday would have to be mailed on Tuesday to count as one-day handling.

@bashort

If you are leaving your listings up and live/visible, then the suggestion to expand your handling time to 3 days is perfect.

Bulk edit your listings and change back next Tuesday night, to give yourself some cushion!

Enjoy your holiday mini-break!

I do have a daily cutoff time set at 2PM.

The cut off time setting only applies to same-day handling.
