So I was looking at my buyer requirements activity log because I have nothing else to do right now...no spring break trip 😞 Anyway, I was just wondering what message the bidder sees when their bid is denied. I noticed that they tried to bid multiple times. Hopefully the message states that they have too many strikes, not that I am not taking their bids. Anyone know?

Good question! I fear that no 'deadbeats' will step up to give an answer... but good question!

I don't know about the message buyers see when they have too many UPIs- I can show you the message a buyer sees when they're on your BBL.

@coffeebean832 Yes, that's the kind of message I was hoping the buyer WOULDN'T see! I would take their bid if they paid their bills on time. Hopefully the unpaid item message is different.

I agree. I like to think that buyers being blocked because of too many unpaid strikes would understand why they keep coming across a block message from multiple sellers- but when you see instances of someone trying to purchase the same listing that many times in a row one starts to think they're not informed about it- or that the message shown to them is unclear.

Any buyer that is blocked whether it be by your site preferences or blocked bidder list will get the message that the seller isn't accepting bids or offers.
Bidders can be blocked:
Have received 2 Unpaid Item strike(s) within 12 Month(s)
Have a primary shipping address in a location I don't ship to
Have a feedback score of -1 or lower
Are currently winning or have bought 2 of my items in the last 10 days and have a feedback score of 5 or lower
Funny thing though is that I haven't seen a bidder blocked on buyers requirements log for at least a year.

It must not be too nasty or clear, because around a year ago I had one potential buyer try over 250 times to purchase from me and get blocked every time.

Since there's very little chance a buyer could be at -1 (unless they also sell)- would the 'preferences' hold for a buyer that exceeds all those numbers, but the item is a 'Buy it Now' with 'Immediate Payment'?

I wouldn't think so, because in the case of a BIN/IPR, it's the actual payment that closes the sale and ends the listing. Before that, the prospective buyer cannot latch onto it anyway, so it doesn't matter how much of a deadbeat they might have been in prior purchases. It's theirs as soon as money changes hands, but not before.
(I actually had one purchase I was trying to make get snatched away from me by some other more-quick buyer, because it took me too long to get through my credit-card purchase.)
