And  in addition to the above information for TRS If you want the 10% discount & to have the TRS badge show in search then you have to offer at least 30 day Free Returns & ship same day or within 1 day

Depending on the category, you can still get the discount with 30 day return, buyer pays for return shipping. You don't get the badge, but you still get the discount. I guess it depends on how much importance is placed on the badge by the seller...

Don't even bother with it...it means absolutely nothing to ebay or to buyers.

With or without it, Ebay will still treat you like crapp on the lawn.

While TRS doesn't mean anything to buyers, it does mean a 10% discount on fees.

Not enough to strive for, but nice to have if you get it.

If you use "free " shipping  (including the shipping cost in your asking price instead of making it a line item) you get the same 10% off your shipping costs.

This only works if your items can ship at Flat Rates. And never use "free" shipping for international sales.

TRS is a good program and it is becoming a better program as time goes on.  We have some significant benefits coming on October 1st in regard to Seller Protection.  So your desire to achieve this level is a very good one.

If you aren't already, get very familiar with your Seller Dashboard.  There you will find all the numbers you need to follow and make sure you stay within the requirements for TRS.  Study the Dashboard.  There is lots of information there.  Detailed reports too.  If you have any questions at all, please ask.  We can help to guide you.

You sell some beautiful stuff.  Your pics are terrific.  If I may, spend more time with your Titles and your descriptions.  Think like a buyer when you write these.  Think searchable words when developing your title and remember that title is prime real estate.  Utilize it, take advantage of it.

In your descriptions, be more descriptive of the item being sold.  If there are any flaws, state them.  Don't assume that the pics are enough, because they aren't.  Call out any and ALL flaws.  Also measurements of the item would be very good too.  Especially for purses.

One of the things you need to do in order to reach TRS is to get your transactions up there.  You need a minimum of 100.  So clean out those closets, create listings and sell sell sell.

Good luck and please let us know how we can further assist you.

The only thing I disagree with is that only TRS sellers, which really mean nothing, will get any real seller protection.

Sorry, but we already have enough 'special deals' here for the big boxes and the chinese favorites, so any seller protection should be for ALL sellers.

Otherwise it needs to be renamed, because it isn't 'seller protection' unless it applies to all.

Could someone please explain this to me.  I have missed this information and never noticed getting the discount on any of my items.

TRS accounts get a bigger shipping discount for some services.

When I first started my second selling account, I was paying approximately $2 more per package for First Class International than I was on my TRS account.

$2 per package may mean nothing to the poster above, but I consider it to be an important benefit.

Hi fern
It was in my above link to Seller levels
move down to see full list where discount benefits apply you will see a list.
I couldn't type the entire policy so I gave the link so the OP could read up

So there are the 14 Day returns as we know in Art & Collectibles , then buyer pays return shipping & then a list you can sell as nonrefundable that still fetch you the 10% savings

https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/seller-levels-performance-standards/seller-levels-performance-stan...

In most Collectibles & Art categories, you need to offer 14-day free returns
When you use freight shipping or sell items in the following categories, you need to offer 30-day or longer returns, but the buyer pays for return shipping

Thanks Labs, I've seen that, but I guess I just don't know where to look now for the discount.   I checked back over a few invoices and never see any 10% discount now in the collectibles categories.

This one is probably the biggest stumbling block  for sellers ,,  currently .  😞   Tulips

That is fine.  It is your opinion of the program, one in which I don't share.  But while the benefits right now may not be a whole lot, I do appreciate them and I utilize them.  So for me it works.

I understand why Ebay is making the new Seller Protections for TRS only.  But I also think that while they may not be able to extend the exact same benefits to all sellers, that some additional seller protections should be offer for every seller in good standing with Ebay.

It is still Seller protection, just another benefit of being TRS.
