some seller put this is in their description. we're all familiar with the unpaid opening cases...but this?
If payment is not received within 7 days of purchase then a Non Paying Buyer Dispute will be filed, and 10 days later a final fee credit lodged

Sounds like they're saying they will open a UPI in 7 days if you don't pay and will close it 10 days later if no payment is received. Odd way of phrasing the last part, buyers won't understand what it means.

Yeah, it's TMI - all the buyer needs to know is that the seller has a generous policy of letting them get away with not paying for 7 days. Actually, that's really old school eBay - 7-14 day payment windows used to be common, but that was when we took snail mail payments.

Buyers don't read descriptions anyway. Pretty useless.

Agreed, but half the browsing shoppers won't even read it-

"What's a spoiler"
When my wife adds a can of Peas to the Tuna & Noodle casserole.

Also the addition of raisins in cookies without mentioning it beforehand

LOL! Adding peas to just about anything is a 'spoiler' - I agree. 1/2 a can is more than enough peas in a tuna casserole or a pot-pie for that matter.

Just click on the word 'spoiler' to view the message, it's hidden.

In our descriptions (which I agree few Buyers read), we say "Sales not completed within 10 days will be reported as Unpaid". I'm probably being too generous. If you've been doing this for a while, in my case almost 20 years, you can pretty much "feel" when that Unpaid Item Case is coming. It is rare that most honest Buyers do not pay in a day or two. I fortunately do not have very many non-payers.

The seller who offers combined reduced shipping & lists fresh items sometimes daily, may simply be wise to offer an extended payment window, to sell more items to buyers wishing to avoid multiple shipping costs.

With respect to those buyers that really choose not to read or have difficulty comprehending item descriptions, shopping on the iternet is certainly not in the best interest of the buyer or the seller.

I think it is just a really poor way of stating they will file a UID and/or they are trying to make it seem like something scary for the buyer. What the heck does a buyer care about a "final fee credit lodged"?? Silly really. As we know the FVF credit has nothing to do with the buyer or any negative impact on them. It is the unpaid strike that goes on their account that is the issue for a buyer.

That seller is a patient one, I give a buyer 48 hrs to pay up. Don't have time for nonsense.
