I have received unnecessary email from a buyer that requested me to sell something at a lower price and on stating that I had much invested in it and could not lower the price - she sends terrible comments. Do others get this?

Do others get this?
Sure.........always have and always will........when you deal with the public, have to understand that they are people out there who don't like what you do.....whatever it is....
Just ignore and move on..........no point in engaging in any dialog with her........

Yes. Ebay has it's share of riff raff. Block the buyer, don't even message back and try to forget you ever got that message. It gets easier to deal with and not take it personal when you get more of these.

HA, she wants it but wants it at the bargain basement price and she's trying to guilt you into lowering the price for someone in need. What a trip. Had she asked if my price was negotiable I would've been willing to bargain a little but unh uh not after THAT **bleep**.
I hope you added her to your blocked bidder list.
I would have some fun and reply since you're not interested in the ornament can I offer you a hankie or a CRYING towel? Prayers are always appreciated, thanks. Coz they dang sure need a crying towel LOL.

Tell her not to worry, because you are pretty sure that the National Guard will be soon be rushing down with emergency supplies of Fancy Feast Christmas ornaments for the tornado victims who so desperately need them.

All Fancy Feast holiday ornaments are ordered annually at one set low price. Sellers like you take advantage of buyers like me for a relative in need.
^^^^ This is a crock of ****** In NEED of an ornament ??
You are not an asset to ebay, but a "sales locust" !!! Please do not respond with more alibis! I pity you and those you take advantage of! I will pray for you!
^^^^ How very Christian of her.
Block the id, report to eBay

How can you be so cruel? People devastated by tornadoes are in DESPERATE NEED of Christmas ornaments to decorate the rubble that was once their homes, their businesses, and their livelihoods. Or maybe to decorate the graves of the friends and family who died in the rubble.
Evidently those who cannot play a race, gender, ethnicity, religion, age, or disability card will not play the natural disaster card.
Do not reply to that loony message and put her on our BBL.

"... will now play the natural disaster card." Messed up that one. (Oh, wait. Maybe I should play the dysgraphia card!)

Why on earth would you tell a customer you have too much invested in an item to lower the price?
Aside from the fact that’s YOUR business issue, not theirs, it gives the odd ones something to argue back against (thus the “alibi” remark).
Block, ignore, move on.
In the future:
Hi. I am not taking offers at this time, but thanks for your interest. Have a nice day.

First I did not even realize Fancy Feast ornaments existed (but now that I looked at them they are super cute) and second I did not even realize they are a "need."
I do not add make an offer to my listings for a reason and it is irritating "would you take blah blah with free shipping" and the offer is equal to or even less than what I invested. I added the statement below to my listings. I unfortunately still get insulting offers but the statement makes me feel I can ignore them and if sometimes they offer more than once I just say please read full listing we do not accept offers.
"Please note prices are firm. We sell name brand used and new items for a fraction of retail price. Please do not inquire about a discounted price or free shipping. We do offer shipping discounts for multiple items purchased and occasionally run sales or shipping deals. We will not respond to any requests for a discount. Thank you for understanding."

All this over a $5 ornament? Wow. Wonder what an expensive ornament would be to this Buyer?
There is a reason fruitcake is associated with this time of year. BBL. (I did)
