a buyer hasn't paid for item not eligible for relist when canceling [looking for some insight here ]

some times when canceling an unpaid item it says an item can be relisted (i.e. Eligible) other times not. my question is what is the criteria for an item to be eligible for relist when canceling an unpaid item transaction?  below is an example of what i am referring to this buyer made an offer on the 3/2/23 it is now 3/7/23 and i sent several messages / an invoice and have not received any response. as such i am going to go ahead and cancel / relist this order. that being said i am confused as to why this item is "not eligible" for an automatic relist

shows a quantity of 2...........the buyer bought 1?????   If so, the listing would still be active with a quantity of 1?

I've noticed this too. I wonder why ebay can't revise the qty on a MQ listing? It's annoying, and I always feel I have to go check my qty available "just in case".

I read this thread and it appears there is no real reason to relist it since its already listed with a quantity of one.

are you having a hard time trying to get the quantity back up to two?

no i only had the two left  and buyer "bought" both (that would have been all of them)

Well, was just a guess.............

Can you actually "relist" the listing?  just wonder how accurate the verbiage is..........

i'm sure i could manually go and relist it,  never had a problem there,  i just don't understand why it doesn't automatically relist when some times it does there were only 2 left and the buyer "bought" both lots giving the listing a quantity of 0 so i don't understand i mean in the end it really doesn't matter i can manually do it. just would like to try and make my listings if i can so that it automatically relists any order I'm cancelling due to a buyer not paying for their items

Does this only happen on multi-quantity listings?  It seems to be a good safeguard to alert the seller that quantities need to be checked in case you don't have the same amount to relist as you did originally.

I'm honestly not sure, that's why I came here to figure out why it happens some times and not others. hoping some one knew off hand what the cause may be

I would guess since the buyer bought both there are none to relist. Just use sell similar and start over.
