Did you mean:

Your opinion on neutral feedback.

I know many of you say not to even respond to neutral feedback.

My recent neutral feedback seems so unfair.

Just wondering if/how you would respond to it if you were me.

Re: Your opinion on neutral feedback.

When I go to buy something I do check a sellers FB % and if it is low I will investigate. BUT since neutral does affect the % I say just ignore it. I do note that you did say it was plastic so, yes, the buyer is unobservant. A condition which seems to affect Oh So Many buyers.

Just move own and worry about the important stuff.

Don't even bother to respond.

What did he think it would be -- stainless steel, ivory, teak? So silly.  Another non-reader.

Re: Your opinion on neutral feedback.

I wouldn't respond.

Checking the listing, it clearly says it's plastic in the description. So this case only makes the buyer look foolish. And seems as if they could possibly just be doing it to force a return.

In addition to the fact that it's not even priced high to begin with, don't even stress it. EBay is still claiming "100% positive" so it seems positives are not considered "not negative" lol. That's the number that really matters.

Re: Your opinion on neutral feedback.

I would ask customer service and see if you can get it removed completely.  It clearly shows that the item is plastic both in description and in photographs.  Most people say ignore it.  I personally would try and get it removed.  Just my unpopular two cents 🙂   You ARE top-rated, and that's one of the perks.

I'm going to be the one person here that says to respond. That is probably as bad as the one and only neutral I've ever received as a seller. 10+ years ago and things have not changed.

Re: Your opinion on neutral feedback.

If it makes you feel better, everyone of us and anyone who looks at the listing is a numpty: It was clearly plastic and yeah, for that price, I wouldn’t have expected anything else even if I didn’t check the description.

You know how they say sometimes you can write someone to tell them how you feel but not send the letter, because sometimes it just helps to put feelings to paper? I’d say respond to the feedback, but here, and let ‘er rip!

Re: Your opinion on neutral feedback.

It is an unfair neutral feedback.

Item is as described, and buyer paid the listed price.

I had a neutral feedback lately where the buyer actually stated that they could not fault my description but would not have made the purchase if they had had a chance to see it first as the beads were too perfect for a vintage necklace.

In situations such as these, a policy of accepting returns may deter the neutral or negative feedback, but some buyers just want to express their disappointment via feedback.

Re: Your opinion on neutral feedback.

Most likely not respond. At least they did not say something about the order fulfillment itself. May have a chance at removal if you request a call, since it is described and there is nothing about your fulfillment there. Long shot, but possible.

If you really want to, you could always say something like "It looks like you are disappointed with the item's design rather than the order fulfillment itself. The listing does accurately describe the design of the item, however, I am happy to direct you to the product review page to post your review, rather than here, where the review reflects my services to you and the transparency of my listings"

Responding does leave open that the buyer will respond to the response by you and make it worse though.

You could always send in a message to the buyer and see if they will remove it and leave their review on the product review page rather than your feedback page. You never know.

Depends how you respond.

"It was clearly stated as plastic in the description" is adequate.

Agree, which is why you won’t find my neutral feedback….

Re: Your opinion on neutral feedback.

I'm on the side of DO reply.  A professional response is not to reply to the original buyer, but to that future buyer that does look at feedback.  They will see a business that takes customer service seriously and will have higher confidence in buying from you even in the rare chance there is an issue.
