Was looking at some of my past sales recently.
Saw that I've delivered overseas to buyers in Georgia, Saudi Arabia and, incredibly, Siberia. Never once had a sale to Africa or to central America.
Within the US, the most remote zip code thus far belonged to a buyer who lived in Mentone, Tx., 79754... amazingly, USPS delivered there (from the DC metro area) in three business days.

I do not ship internationally anymore; however, when I did, a buyer in Russia sent me some energy drink cans to make ornaments for them. I listed the ornaments I made for them and sent the order back to Russia.
The most remote US destination delivered to was Likely, CA. I remember how shocked I was when I saw the address. As a child, my family went camping near Likely, CA. Likely was the "city" we would go to for ice, laundry, fishing tackle that we forgot to bring and a Frostie Freeze ice cream treat. We would also purchase postcards to send to our friends back home in the Bay Area. I remember the population to be about 200 back then. It looks like it is even smaller now. The General Store is still standing and operating.

California, Hawaii, Alaska, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Brazil, South Africa, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic.
But I do not ship internationally anymore. Back when I could mail a $10 LP to Europe for $4 it was sensible, but now that it is $24 it is not.

I remember that my mind was blown when one of my 1st ever sales on eBay
maybe some 26 years ago was to Hiroshima.
At that time could not think of a more remote place!
Remember thinking that I didn’t need my little NYC flea market anymore when I can easily sell to Hiroshima!
I was a permanent vendor at my flea market for 31 consecutive years every Sunday.
even remember what he bought. A fancy coffee table cigarette lighter…$150.

My most remote sale was to Japan.
At the time I wasn't even selling outside US but I got a message from a company in Japan that bid on auctions on eBay for their clients. This company would bid on the listing and pay for it and you shipped it to them and they got it to the buyer.
It was a black and white photograph from the TV show "Airwolf". I put the company on my exemption list and they were determined to win. That photograph sold for $90.00 !!! They paid promptly, I packed that puppy like it was going to the moon and said a little prayer when I handed it over to the Post Office. It made it safely but I never knew who the buyer was. That TV show only aired for about 2 seasons but I can't image it had worldwide fans.
Furthest I sent in US is California ... I've had many buyers in California so going coast-to-coast is always stressful.

Furthest in the states from us is Hawaii. Internationally, Australia is probably the furthest. We have one going today, but we've also sent to Japan and South Korea so looking at the map they seem to be the winners. In all, we've had sales to 26 countries and all the U.S. states.

So I have sent items all over the world. One years ago that shocked me was Cyprus. I remember thinking... Is that really a country? 🤔 I sell consistently to Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, England, Ireland, Australia. My first big sale that opened my eyes to potential on eBay was around 2004. Sold an obscure heavy metal album that I owned for $500 to someone in Sweden... I bought it for $8 back in 1988. Back then it was harder to sell internationally because of customs forms and such. If I am remembering correctly, my top 5 sales all time all were international.

I remember those days, I sold all over the world except South America, their mail system took months and most of the time it was stolen or lost. My biggest customers were in Japan and Australia but shipping for 4 oz went from $3 then $6 and quit in '18 when it hit $12. I'm on EIS but I might sell 1 or 2 items a month.

Ha, I literally started a thread (not too long ago, definitely in the past year) asking if anyone had ever had an order to Africa or South America. If I recall a few repliers said they had, but very few.
I've had a Ground Advantage package get delivered from Mobile to Anchorage, AK in two days.

I have shipped to every continent on this planet, and I even had one order go to an Alternate Universe (sort of). I suppose in mileage, Antarctica was the most distant.

Duuuude, you gonna say you shipped to Antarctica, and not say WHAT the item was, or anything else about the sale? Come on, if there's no fun story at least make one up!
EDIT: Also the 'alternate universe' one.

There are 7 sovereign nations that have territorial claims in Antarctica. Britain even has it's own unique postage stamp British Antarctic Territories. At any given time there are from several to many thousands of people (mostly scientists and military personnel) in residence. Because of the climate it is not like they can just pop "into town" for relaxation when they are off duty - ('cause, you know, there really is no "town"). Purchases tend to be for Off Duty time killing relaxation items - books, chess sets, puzzles, CDs, "home town" coffee mugs, etc. Some of which I sell (not all - they are just given as an example of what else they buy) (APO ZIP code is 96599-9998)
As for the Alternate Universe (notice I did say "sort of") Years ago there was a science fiction series called "Fringe" which dealt with travel between our and an alternate universe. One day I got an order from the prop master for one of my figurines. Imagine my surprise some time later to see it on a bookshelf in one of the scenes. THEN when the action moved to the alternate universe where everything was similar although slightly different, there was my figurine again. In my mind, that's close enough to make the claim (sort of).

I also don't sell internationally any more, but I once sent some DVD's to Monserrat. It's a tiny island in the Caribbean that was mostly destroyed by it's own volcano in the 90's, there's hardly anyone there any more because it's mostly uninhabitable now.

I get more of a kick when someone from my town or the next one over buys it. It's a good reminder and motivation to keep your business friendly and honest.
