Would I be violating any Terms of Service?

Hello. I have a website gaining lots of traction and was wondering if it would be against any eBay Terms of Service if I were to reach out to sellers whom I have built a trusting relationship with and see if they would be willing to pay a monthly fee to have me promote some of their listings via my website and social media accounts?

I see, you're talking about keyword optimization.  Not like you can go in to search console and tell exactly how many of your pages are currently indexed.  I really hated it when ebay started item specifics.  It's like dumbing down the art of writing a good item title.

Apologies to OP for highjacking their thread.

Actually I am talking about internal hot links and appropriate meta data. And why do item specifics force you to dumb down your title?

Re: Would I be violating any Terms of Service?

Thanks for the more specific info.  I will look in to that.

Item specifics don't force you to dumb down your title, it's the art/skill of writing a good title that's been dumbed down.  I think item specifics were done as a crutch for those less skilled at writing a good title.  Now you get prompted for all the keywords that SHOULD have been in your title.  Color, size, brand, etc.

I would be interested; if you wanted to 'point customers to my ebay store'.. but the problem would be; how would I know that they came from your website??

Hi,  I am sorry that you were offended by the comments.

I admire that you are trying to step out and expand.

It sounds like you have great ingenuity.  However, I do not think this is going to be your path.

I am sure that with your imagination you will find a different path, which works out better for everyone.

Keep trying, You will get there.

Just my Two Cents...

Re: Would I be violating any Terms of Service?

I would be mad if someone solicited me on eBay. They will become an easy add to my block list that just seems to be growing. I had someone trying to get me to call / txt them yesterday about one of my listings. I told them I do not deal outside of eBay and blocked them. A few hours later I received a message from eBay.

eBay short version message: Please take these steps to keep your account secure. It looks like you may have been in touch with ******** and we want to let you know that some security concerns have come up with this account. We recommend taking some precautions to make sure your account stays secure.

Have to give eBay a thumbs up on this one. A start on stopping some scammers.
