Year 2023, before "Ground Advatage" Started. ALL of my packages, showed as delivered. When USPS Ground Advantage started. As of today, I have about 4 packages, that are Still in Transit, when Some of them have been delivered. How I know this, its because my buyers, that left me Positive Feedback. Are you experiencing the same thing? Just wondering?
Thanks in advance. Great night/day...

In fact it is; the Delivery scan (when it occurs) simply logs that package number 123456789101234567 has been delivered. The Shipping method (Media Mail, Ground Advantage, Priority, etc.) doesn't matter; it's just point-and-beep.
All is not necessarily lost, though. You don't get a seller ding for late delivery; you're evaluated on whether you got the package into the mailstream within your Handling time. A happy buyer is not going to file an Item Not Received dispute even if the Delivered scan is missed; he's not likely to go looking at the tracking for a package that he's already received.
Finally, a package tracked as Out for Delivery will set off alarm bells at the PO if the Out for Delivery status is not updated to Delivered within 14 hours (8 hours of straight work plus 6 hours overtime). You might see it updated to Delivered status the next day. Even if not, don't go asking the buyer if they received it. Let sleeping dogs lie, and all that.
Adding onto that:
If the tracking number shows the dreaded "delivery status not updated" I found that filing the missing mail search on USPS website will often result in them marking it as delivered.
Might be worth the time to do that especially if it's a valuable item.

This means the carrier didn't scan them as delivered. I have gone round and round with ebay about this. When the carrier fails to scan as delivered they are not delivered. Your happy buyer who left you glowing feedback means nothing. The usps needs to step up their game as this is unfair as well as untrue. The packages are indeed delivered and feedback proves it.

I haven't seen any differences from prior to ground advantage.
All mine have been scanned as usual, but thanks for letting us know, I will keep a lookout.

Have you gone to the USPS.com website to see if they're showing delivery there? Sometimes ebay doesn't update but USPS does.

I've noticed no difference since the switch. I asked a friend of mind who works for the usps about the switch. He reminded me that "physically" there is absolutely no difference between first class and ground advantage. Nothing has changed. Your packages are handled in the exact same way. They use the same machinery. The same sorters. The same conveyor belts. The same trucks. The same planes. The same personnel that they used before the switch. Take that for what it's worth.

yes. I have had two package in the last four weeks had this happen on other platforms so my money is also being held to add insult to injury. I am having to go thru post office as missing package due to this. Annoying is an understatement. So far i have had no resolution from either pacakge this has happened to. Both were Ground advantage too. I probably will not be doing ground advantage going forward. Priority mail only. (may have been coincidence but i am out alot of money until i eventually file claim if they do not get resolution on delivery scanning for me).

You made me curious so I checked all my ground advantage shipments since the beginning and they are all marked delivered.
As for interpreting that a buyer providing positive feedback means something, I've learned that's not the case. I have had a few buyers provide positive feedback even before I could ship! What's that about?
