I wrote the following to my buyers:
"About your order, we had an ice storm and for two days I had the mail in the box outside my house but our postal person did not come. So we drove to the post office today and posted it. Sorry for the delay, in 21 years of living here this has never happened before."

you'll probably lose the discount on fees for that item, assuming it was eligible...beyond that, i would guess not much else will happen

If your packages did not get a carrier scan within your set handling time, you metrics will take a hit unless this eBay update helps you out. I have not read the update.

As usual, it's left up to ebay to decide if you are in an 'affected area' or not.
And the storms keep tracking thru the country every 2-3 days, so who knows who or what they are going to consider 'affected'.
