For some reason my feedback rating has dropped down to 98.9%. I only have one negative which was months and months ago, no neutrals and the rest are all positive. What’s going on?

That rating is based off of your last rolling year. It’s likely you just had a ton of positive feedbacks just drop off from your rolling year, but your one negative remains.

Is this something I need to worry about? And how do I fix this because all of my recent feedback has been positive.

No not really. Feedback percentage isn’t calculated into seller level anymore. Logically, your percentage is dropping because your rate at receiving positive feedbacks isn’t as high as it was a year ago. More old positive feedbacks are dropping off than you are getting new ones.
That could mean you aren’t selling as much as you were during this time last year, or it could just mean less people are leaving feedbacks compared to this time last year. I wouldn’t worry about it. One thing you can do is sell more, but I think you already knew that as that’s every seller’s goal.

Well, based on the buyer's feedback comment they contacted you about a problem and you failed to satisfactorily respond. So I am sorry to say but it does appear to be your own fault.
Remember that your PRIMARY responsible is "Customer Service".

The OP is not asking why they got that negative feedback. They are asking about why their % score has gone down despite not getting any more negs since then.

Well, in fairness he did begin his post with "For some reason my feedback rating has dropped down to 98.9%" which does sound like he didn't know WHY it dropped. I simply pointed put that if he had responded to the buyer's complaint the whole issue could have been avoided.

Just keep selling and take @richard1rst advice of offering exceptional customer service.

As others have noted, your feedback rating is based on the feedback you have received in the past 12 months, so if the total number of positive feedback decreases, that one neg will have a bigger effect on your percentage. Also, the percentage calculation doesn't count multiple feedback from the same buyer for transactions within one week (which eBay defines as Monday through Sunday), so only 94 of your 110 positive feedback are figured in.
The percentage includes all feedback, for both selling and buying, so one quick way to increase your percentage is to purchase item(s) from sellers who reliably leave feedback.

That was only one negative and, yeah, maybe I should have responded to the buyer but what’s more worrying is that my feedback rating has dropped so rapidly as if I had a ton of negatives which I don’t.

Reason it went down is Mathematics. Make more sales and it will go up. It went down because some of your positives rolled off. Again its simple Math

it's all shown if you click there right after the 98.9%

It's not that you got a ton of negatives; it's because you lost a ton of positives.

Yup, a double slap in the face: lower score to go along with slowing sales, as if that wasn't bad enough. I've recently observed my score go down from 99.6% to 99.2%, while also struggling harder to pay the bills. 😔
