I listed this item
https://www.ebay.com/itm/166260442893
yesterday - about 24 hours ago. It has zero views and when I look for it via search or browse it doesn't appear. Can anyone explain why?
Thank you!

Good question that I can't answer and hopefully someone else can.
I literally copy and pasted your entire title, put it in the search bar, and it isn't coming back as a result.
I initially thought maybe since you had WWI instead of WW1 that would be an issue (an I instead of a 1), but that doesn't impact it either.

I had a listing last week which took over 24 hours to appear.
Perhaps server maintenance created the latency

I Suggest checking it 48-72 hours.

Okay -- thanks. Usually when I list photo albums they start getting views within an hour, so this was unexpected.

As of 11AM this morning it is not showing up on my searches. I would perhaps end the listing and try again next week. And maybe max out on your photos and increase your opening bid a bit.

Why increase the opening bid?

A slightly higher opening bid on an auction means the item will sell for more if it gets only one bid.
A slightly higher asking price on Fixed Price allows wiggle room on Best Offers.
While some bargain hunters may be discouraged from buying because they perceive the price to be too high, those are also the most difficult customers to deal with.

Well, yeah, of course. I am not new to selling on ebay. I chose the opening price because I believe lower opening bids help drive interest, and based on what I have in the album I can afford to do it without it being a disaster if it sells for the opening bid. But I thought M60driver was suggesting a higher opening bid would help the listing to be seen, and was wondering why that might be.

It is officially now searchable.

Thanks! I guess I just need to be more patient. Never had a listing take so long before and thought maybe it was something to do with being German military. Anyway, problem solved.

Me too.
Mine usually take about an hour, although they say it can take "up to" 24 hours.
Many sellers are coming here lately saying it has been taking MORE than 24 hours.

Because I think the album is worth more than your opening bid of $45 and with auctions you can get burned, especially at this time of the year when many folks are on vacation. I have a number of higher end items that I am holding off on listing until after Labor Day.

I've had an item since December not appear in searches - 334667898325 - I've reported it multiple times - guessing it's a major issue with merch not for sale.
