Why does eBay suck now?

the app has gotten better making it easier to list but **bleep** I'm not getting no views, and everytime I list something eBay is trying to get me to pay 99 cent to boost my post . ALSO the last thing that you use to put up would show first when you go to selling now you can hardly find it, I swear every time these ppl update their apps they get worse and stuff don't work , bottom line never update or they should let you go back to previous update if you don't like the new update,eBay did improve on selling at the post office I like using the qcr code that's awesome

For us, things are back on track.  Probably jinxing myself by posting this, but things are moving along.

The new listing template was a bear to convert my saved templates to - but finally got that done and and while it is still cumbersome, things are better on that front.  I do not like the current PL percentage limits, but sales are clicking along, so something is working.

Good luck to you - my views and impressions are also in the carper.  However, sales are still happening in spite of the dismal numbers of views and impressions, so have decided I do not "care" what those number are.  Only care about the number of sales!

I saved templates when I saw the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad new selling form.

You can make new templates by going to a listing you like and using Sell Similar, then turning your new listing, with all its changes, as a template.

It's probably not too late.

And don't even try to list on a phone.

Use a laptop or a desktop. Easier to read. Easier to write. Easier to correct.

Yep, list on the laptop. Open Ebay app and add photos from phone through revise listing. Easy.

Ebay doesn't suck. If it did, I wouldn't use it. I don't mind paying an ad fee to boost listings. Like paying extra for a front of the line pass at amusement parks, it is a nice way to get my items shown before other sellers. Let's face it, people are busy and distracted and may not mind paying for example, $650 for my items despite the fact that someone has similar items at $450 because it takes too long to find and they get fatigued searching for it. Use it to your advantage, pay a 10% fee and get your items showing up first.

That's the way eBay works nowdays, they will show the potential buyer a $650 item because the seller is willing to pay more  to promote his items while the seller who is only charging for the same item $450 is being pushed down in the search.

Taking advantage of the buyer fatigue from searching for the best price...

I would think about finding different things to sell on Ebay. Most of the items you have can be bought at the dollar store for much cheaper. Used power cords are a dime a dozen. Also that ring should not be on your hand as it does nothing to attract buyers.

This is why I pay for a monthly store - to be seen in the mall.  Should mall store owners pay extra to display items in their front window?  Paid promos are a money grab & unfair to those already having a hard enough time making a living on eBay!  Even playing field for everyone who pays for a store!  Period.  I've had enough of a world where the rich get richer & everyone else fights for table scraps!

They don't??  I would think prime placement would warrant a bit of a bonus. You pay the same as everyone for your booth, but if you want your items AND shop name displayed in the front window of the house, that would be a bit extra?  I'd pay it.

I totally agree with your last sentence, though - it's the Great Distraction - pit the plebs against each other for the little stuff, scrapping for crumbs and let the elite make off with the banquet. However, eBay has not gotten to that point IMHO - we're paying the same for our stores and a bit extra for the front window.

Mall owners do not charge a store extra to put a display in their front window. Mall owners DO charge extra for placement of the store just like Ebay. It is also just like a concert/sports venue, it cost more for better seats.

I was just coming here to say that. When I worked in a store in a mall, we paid more for rent for our store because it was right near an entrance. The stores up on the third floor that weren't anywhere near one of the entrances cost less rent-wise than ours.
