I don't deal with counter offers too often but I vaguely remember being able to see a buyer's zip code to help estimate potential shipping costs. Am I just not remembering correctly or has this feature been removed or am I just not knowing where to look?

It doesn't mean they have to use the same zipcode for shipping at checkout. I might live one state over from you, but decide I want it shipped to my grandmother at the farthest zone from you. So you can "estimate", but with free shipping, you may still get a surprise.

I should clarify that I made and sent an offer to several watchers and one sent me a counter offer. Because it is a larger and heavier item an acceptance would depend upon whether they live close or far from my location. The zip code does not show up on their first counter offer.

I guess more of the eBay privacy stuff. I sent an offer to a buyer that I knew the location, and ID of, but if I go to "review offers" the ID is encrypted 🙂 , but as another posted, the buyer can select a different ship to at checkout. Been there had that back, back, back when things were not hidden. Offer from same state. Ship 1000 miles away.

You need to go to your "Messages" tab and click on the ORIGINAL Contact the buyer sent (either general message or purchase offer) and there you will find the Zip Code - Good Luck with your selling and BE CAREFUL
