Whats with eBay doesn't allow you to put custom messages on your packing slips Anymore?

Its only a selection of their pre fabbed messages and doesn't allow you to be personal anymore.

Is this new thing a Beta Version or what? This Sucks! Is there a way to opt out of this?? Thanks

I just saw the same thing. Hopefully this is a bug. The buyer's and seller's state is not showing on the packing slip either, just the city and zip, leading me to believe that something was moved live accidentally without proper testing. I always include a packing slip and the main purpose is to include my custom message, which is now gone.

Also, if your listing has variations and your buyer purchases several items each variations is NOT on the new slip -- only the first chosen variation is printed and then repeated for all items purchased.  This is NOT helpful!!! I wish eBay would test their code before release!!!

To go back to the former style of the packaging slip that allows a personal message, has all of your buyer's address, and all variations purchased :

• (through seller hub) go to "orders"  ,
• scroll down to "shipping labels" ,
• find that particular label, select "more actions"   
• select " print packing slip".

However, I have always gone to a blank docx document and typed away to my hearts content. Then I run the packing slip through the printer. Viola - custom message with the added advantage of bold, underlined, italic or whatever if needed.

I ordered custom card stock with a logo and design to add to my eBay invoice mailings years ago. Sort of like a large business card. I also include a regular size business card and eBay branded thank you card. One thing I have learned after selling and buying on eBay for over 20 years is that you can't fight eBay. You have to remove reason and logic with most of eBay's business decisions. That helps get one past something like this. Good luck and enjoy the ride. It won't last forever.

Maybe it was a glitch that is fixed? 

I just added a custom message.  To the left of the 'print label' button is an 'edit packing slip' option in blue, it brings up a box to add a message.

As of today, the new packing slip still omits both the buyer's and the seller's name and address, which makes it completely useless.

Hmm, you must be under 40 years of age.  Us oldsters use a pen or pencil and write personalized thank you messages on every packing slip.  We even write them in cursive.

We have business cards printed with our own message, like a greeting card but on a business card sized piece of black and white. When boxing slip one of those in the packing with every order, nobody is any the wiser.

Granted it costs a little.

I have been totally thrown off by this!!!! I am glad I am not the only one that is experiencing this. I spent a solid hour trying to fix it, thinking I had certainly done something wrong. This new format is TRASH.
