What size pics for moble?

What size photos (in pixels) are best for the new moble-centric listings? For years i've been naged to make my pics bigger. But now i'm being told the pics in my listing are too big for moble. But it didn't give me a recomendation for the correct size. What size image does moble desplay without a bot re-sizing them?

Are you talking about gallery images or images embedded in your description?

Large gallery images are automatically resized into thumbnails and zoomable pics by eBay. 

Pics embedded in the Description are a completely different matter. Have you used the mobile friendly checker on the SYI form to "fix it"?

Yes i have, thanks.
That just embeds code for the bot to resize the pics to screen size.
To judge condition of my collectable items, i need my pics to be sharply focused.
I can not trust the bot to do that.
