There is no customer service any more. Their attempts at the automated system don't get you anywhere.
An attempt to contact a buyer lead to the "Message" page.
Offers and questions from buyers no longer go to mail. Sold notices don't go to email. Re-list notices don't go to email.
Company systemic collapse?

Think it is more like Glitch-Beta testing Site right now. If you survive the summer, you get a prize. 😎

Messages:
If you are using a mobile browser and having problems, try using the eBay app (make sure it is the latest version for your operating system) or else request the desktop site version of the page with your mobile browser. Or try another browser.
Details about requesting the desktop site version of the page in various browsers can be found here:
If you are already using a desktop browser, try a different browser or a different link such as this link to messages from members:
https://mesg.ebay.com/mesgweb/ViewMessages/0/m2m
If all else fails, try reading your messages on ebay.ca instead of ebay.com.
Contacting eBay:
You can use the Help & Contact link at the bottom of the page. Use the "Contact us" link and follow the prompts for your issue and you should eventually wind up on a page with a chat option. Choose that, and the last option that appears in the chat window -- use the "See more" option -- should be "Contact an Agent" to request a call-back if you are in North America.

Or you can contact eBay via social media:
https://www.facebook.com/eBay/
Emails:
Problems with emails generally fall into one of three categories: problems with your account settings; problems with your mail provider or network; problems at eBay's end. You likely cannot do anything about the third issue, and aside from switching to a different email provider, you cannot do much about the second issue. Your best bet is to check your settings and not rely too heavily on emails to coordinate your business. Easier said than done if you are currently having problems reading or responding to messages from members, though.

email dependency has given way to seller hub dependency
for messages, in the 'Listings' box, there will be 'with questions' if a buyer and you are corresponding
for contacting a buyer who did not pay, who did pay, etc, hover over 'orders' top left of page and next to the item, the drop down arrow will give several choices, including 'contact buyer'
as for 'sold' items, in the 'Orders' box, you will see 'awaiting shipment-print shipping label'
as for 're list' items, in the 'Listings' box, you will see 'unsold ended listings'

"There is no customer service any more. Their attempts at the automated system don't get you anywhere."
I tried as a experiment to contact customer service thru their automated system...
Have us call you;
"Sorry, this contact option isn't available right now. You can check back later or choose another option."
"Let's see if I can get one of our agents to help you.
It’ll be about 2 minutes until an agent’s free. Is that OK?
Assistant
Me "Yes"
This message was sent about 4 seconds after the bot told me to wait;
"Hi again xxxx, looks like your chat with our agent has finished. I'll send a copy of your conversation to your email shortly."
Assistant
My chat has finished? There wasn't an agent and there wasn't a chat and no email was sent.
Yes, this is dysfunctional!

Do not disagree.....there are so many glitches, I have lost track. PLs not working for us, problems re-listing and editing, etc.
Am guessing in August at e-Bay Open, they intend to "wow" us. It should be interesting if the rah-rah noise can drown out or satisfy those whose experiences since March have been less enjoyable than expected.

Well, we quit so our experience is more enjoyable so far!!
No more hassles!
There was starting to be so little $$ anyway.
Still watching, with things to sell, but so far.,. Not even going to try to wrestle with all.

Sounds wonderful, actually. lol (ever since the flood in the warehouse, have been thinking if we can settle with the insurance carrier for the warehouse, we should just call it a day.....sounds better every time I say it)
I truly am curious what the e-Bay open spiel will be. It's like being on the cruise ship of the doomed for some, others are on the casino levels of the ship rolling in cash......

Since the pandemic I've been questioning really do I want to keep doing this? I'm actually doing OK with eBay glitcherama, the silly policies and the like, but my suppliers are really drying up, former consignors started putting their own stuff online instead of having me do it - supply patterns really changed in my area, I'm tired of driving 500 miles in a weekend for the kind of profit margins I'm seeing now. Since I've run through every other category to sell in (seriously, I've sold just about everything on here save for cars and commercial printing presses lol) I think the Universe is saying "life is too short for small margins."
ETA: Not sure about hobby basis.

Yes. Can name the tune.
We bought 2 remainder pallets from prior warehouse- suite mate.
Not so sure about that avenue for inventory. No idea what half this is/was. Calgon take me away!

You are quite correct. eBay sucks and I highly doubt that I will continue doing business with them. The multi-billionaire or millionaire who runs this stinking company could care less about us. Could that be why they are trying to get rid of us?
