What's an sr card?
Not much you can do, stuff gets eaten by the USPS machines on occasion.

That wasn't "ripped open by Usps staff," that is an envelope that very clearly got caught in the sorting machinery. Did you ship those cards with a solid cardboard backing? That is what you're supposed to do whenever you're shipping things like that via letter mail. Otherwise, what can and will often happen is that any lumps in the envelope (such as a stack of cards) will cause it to get caught in the sorting machinery and then ripped open. I used to work at Papyrus and there was a reason that all of our embellished greeting cards were sold with a piece of cardboard that was meant to be placed into the envelope over the decorated front of the card when mailed-- because otherwise the lumps from the sequins, beads, etc. would lead to the envelope getting torn open by machinery.

No one at USPS will open a package of free cards and keep some of them, probably in sorting.

Nothing you can do about a parcel that was jammed up in a sorting machine with USPS.
Perhaps send the customer 6 more cards and make the bubble mailer semi-rigid by sliding a thin piece of cardboard inside the mailer.

While there are everywhere cases of mental illness, why would a person with a union job, good pay, decent benefits, a solid pension, and excellent health insurance, decide to steal a few cards from an envelope they noticed in passing?
Have you ever seen what the inside of a postal terminal looks like?

True, and the post office handles packages that contain gold, silver, diamonds. etc. worth thousands of dollars.

What you should do is package your items more securely so they will arrive at their destination in one piece.
Count your blessings that this wasn't an ebay buyer's purchase because the buyer would have a legitimate NAD claim and would get a full refund!
The damage to the package was a result of YOUR improper packing.

It's a felony to steal U.S. mail, so any postal employee is highly discouraged.
It says right on the envelope it got caught in their machinery and damaged, they apologized.
End of story.

No you nor I nor anyone else can see it was "ripped open by Usps staff". Nor does anyone know if it was stolen as you claim. Seems like you did not properly package what you were sending. Why blame others with outrageous claims for your failure to pack properly?

Holy dang! Second photo from the bottom on the left - is that guy carrying an entire GAYLORD on his head?!
And to the OP - yeah - the USPS caught the package which had got creamed in the sorting machinery, managed to retrieve what they could and repackaged it neatly for you.
