So eBay has said buyers are responsible for editing all their listings from First Class shipping and their won't be an automatic conversion and that they have 30 days to do so. What happens after we hit the 30 day mark in the next 1-2 weeks? Will my listings just end? Will they be hidden? I can't find any clarification anywhere on what the consequences would be.

Looks like standard shipping times, even coming over from Hawaii

The problem is in the listing............where it shows the buyer lst class (for a package)...........the shipping part is already converted and shows GA....... if you have lst class now, when making the label.....you will be shown lst class......but you can choose GA............
Question is whether it's how vital it is to have lst class nomenclature changed to GA IN THE LISTING. They could end those listings or put a warning on them (remember the "required IS" warning)? IF they can't distinguish between lst class package and lst class Envelop....I think they will put a warning......which would help immensely to find the darned things when you have 1000's of listings. To end lst class envelop listings which do NOT have to be changed would be a disaster.
just my guess..........but who knows with ebay?

Small blessings -- but I'll take 'em. . ..
They always could. Ground Advantage over 16oz was previously known as Parcel Select (or Retail Ground).

Are those all under 15.99oz?
Ground Advantage is just a renaming of two services, First Class Package and Parcel Select with both getting the bonus of $100 (useless?) insurance. One day was added to the Service Standard for <15.99oz, I'm not sure if the Service Standard for 16oz and up changed at all from Parcel Select.
The last time USPS added one day to First Class Package it hardly had any effect except for some destinations.

I found ebay's announcement "We realize this may take longer for some sellers and we will continue to support First-Class on existing listings for a longer period of time." My listings that are still set for 1st class but the labels are printing ground advantage, so not worried about USPS, but ebay isn't saying how long they'll do it. Looks like I'll have to stop, sit down and spend a couple hours changing them over this weekend.

Maybe today's monthly chat with the shipping team will add a couple one liners to help clarify...or not.

I have no idea and I would not wait to find out.

Hello. If you go to the EBay podcast section there will be a podcast discussing the change to ground advantage and how to change over from first class. If you use your bulk editing tools it will be easy to mark by groups of items instead of individually changing each item. As sellers we are responsible to care for our listings and how we list and ship. Nothing is automatic. Mostly don’t be overwhelmed. Take the time to look at your listing s and see if this is a good option for you.

Its the new business policies that are messing me up, have to have a new policy for every different weight. 60% of my listings will be easy once I set up another new policy.

We realized that also - We had a lot of listing as priority only because of the 1st class weight limit, that now have the new one because it will work with over a pound stuff.

Well… I will be waiting to find out.
Went on vacation before July 9 and won’t be returning until after August 9. Reading this forum is possible once in a while, but modifying listings is not—until after August 12.
i’m hoping that the chat with the shipping team today will provide some insight about what will happen to my first class package listings.

We think you may be right
We relisted stuff last week and the person doing it didn't realize that one item had 1st as the first option, and so wasn't changed over by us. Five days later I saw it and it wasn't marked 'fixed' in the 'my notes' so I checked - it still had first class listed in the description - BUT the first option had been changed to ground adv and Wendy said she didn't do it.
So maybe they can now change it.
