Weird message cancelling order after sale?

I never got a message like this before but an item I’ve been wanting to sell for over a year finally sold but then I got a message sayin g eBay cancelled it? What’s weird is there’s a sale on my mobile and o can’t exist it.. but I was so excited to finally get rid of that stupid thing.. is this a scam? It was right when he bought it a few seconds after so it’s weird if suddenly his account is just gone within a second of seconds?

the issue is it’s not letting me relist it, and I had people watching it

Re: Weird message cancelling order after sale?

The funds now show completed I’m assuming it will be sent to my bank tomorrow

still can’t view the listing cause it says removed but I can buy a label and enter a tracking number. Also I realize I recognize this name, I’m pretty sure be bought from me before

@simply-the-best-for-you

Back in the day, I remember they would cancel orders if the buyer's acct was delinquent in paying their fees, even if it was $20 or something.

Since buyers don't have fees, eBay was booting sellers who hadn't paid eBay the fees they owed.

EBay is not our friend. EBay is our landlord.

or to look in the unsold area for it but it’s showing sold.

Just click on Sell Similar in the column on the right.

The programming will assume that you have more of the same to sell.

Re: Weird message cancelling order after sale?

I never thought they were a scammer based on their purchase.

However, a lot of things can trigger the fraud department, such as using a VPN, or public wifi.

Like I said before, not worth it to assume.

@reallynicestamps  In the case I'm thinking of, the person was both a buyer & a seller.  I know lots of sellers do not buy on their buying acct, but many do & in this specific case, they were a pretty large seller but got behind on their fees & got NARU'd for it.  They were re-instated, but it took some pretty herculean efforts behind the scenes.  I never said eBay was our friend.  I just relayed a particular story.

So I contacted them via social media and I’m just getting fluffy responses it almost seems like they don’t know either cause they said I should be able to sell similar or to look in the unsold area for it but it’s showing sold. And if I click the actual item it gives me an error that it was entirely removed not even showing cancelled almost like I was in the wrong and it was banned? This is really weird considering the social media places aren’t giving me solid answers and I really don’t want to repost this from scratch AND possibly get a negative for not shipping it when I have perfect history.. it’s not like this is my fault. And go figure it’s the one item that’s caused me grief the most that it involves.

@*meigara*   Yeah, they're giving you the wrong info.  It is normal for it to go away, but I understand that now the buyer info is back.  My guess is they called & got the problem taken care of.  Like I said, in the past it could happen simply b/c you were behind on your fees.  I also understand that you recognize this is as regular buyer.

If it were me, I'd just ship it.  Unless it's a particularly expensive or high value item.   Every time it's happened to me, it's just been a run of the mill item.

Also, just FYI, if eBay took it down b/c of a possible NARU or otherwise possible problem buyer, you are perfectly fine to relist the item if you decide not to ship it.

Re: Weird message cancelling order after sale?

So it won’t let me relist it or sell similar, both just clock and never appear. The entire listing is glitched.

Im watching to see if the funds transfer from eBay to my bank account. Because if they do then I’d be in the wrong to not ship it.

and if this was just a glitch and they fixed their account then what? I still show the money being completed on my end and eBay telling me to ship it

Re: Weird message cancelling order after sale?

Can ebay claw it back days after it goes to my bank account even though the buyers account is back and it says to send it?
