We got our 1st neutral in 20 years. Just double check your listings description

Just a quick help, Double check your description. I totally take the blame on this because it was a finger slip. This made me laugh though too. So we sold a sleep shirt new with tag. I accidently hit cotton blend with  polyester, spandex. I meant to hit polyester blend. So anyway we have sold a number of these with no issues. So I did not think anymore about the listing, Until the Neutral came. It stated "Okay for around the house, but tag stays recycled polyester not cotton blend as in description. "

So, I of course fixed it. I reached out to her and let her know I would be happy to give her a refund if she is unhappy with the item. I also asked her to kindly revise her Neutral.  I have heard nothing. But, I have been emailed this week by other customers with the same question about the material. Although i already fixed it.  Is that not odd?

Anyway, we are now double checking just in case. Learn from us.

Have a great week and Happy selling.

I bet potential buyers are seeing the feedback and double checking the listing.

My suggestion would be to add a note in the description with something to the effect of:

"Note that this item originally had an error in the listing with the incorrect fabric content. Once it was pointed out, a correction to the listing was made. It is now listed correctly."

And although others might disagree with my next suggestion, if this were my listing, I'd respond to the feedback with, "Thank you for pointing out the error in my listing. The error is fixed and the listing is now accurate."

I realize it draws attention to the non-positive feedback but shows that you are aware and did the right thing in making a correction.

With the heat wave that is blasting the country right now nobody in their right mind would wear spandex!!!

It's easy to make a mistake.  I tend to do this when I use sell similar and miss something in the item specs.

Also, you might want to retake your close-up photo of the fabric info.  Many people like to read those and I couldn't make out the words on yours.  I just had to take new photos of the fabric label on a shirt, since it was too blurry to put in my listing.

Thanks, it is clear on my tablet. But, maybe not on everyone's item.

Have a great day!

It's generally not a good idea to ask a buyer to "revise" a neutral.  A neutral is no big deal.  You're just as likely to have them "revise it" to a neg.  You're lucky you didn't have to ask them to "revise a neg."

As someone who mostly deals with clothes, I could see making that goof. I always include a picture of the material tag just to be safe. Of course, people still message me from time to time asking what the material is

But, I have been emailed this week by other customers with the same question about the material.

Those are the ones who actually read the comments.

They live!

You could add a Response "Thank you for pointing out my error. I have corrected the listing to "polyester". Your help was appreciated."

That explains where the error lay, explains that it is corrected, and shows good Customer Service, I think.

Agree - it's one of the only times I would bother answering a neutral - the response is more like a notation for future customers that accuracy is important to the seller (particularly since it seems OP has had some enquiries about it).

I'm confused.

You have multiple neutrals and negatives.

How is this the first in 20 years. 🤔

I did and also offered to take extra photos for the person.  I then fixed the issue.

We have had a few negatives yes, in all these years they come and go.

The point being just double check yourselves.  Just trying to help.
