We’ve heard from our sellers that item specifics is one of the most complex parts of our listing experience.
As a part of simplifying the listing flow, we are testing a reduced set of item specifics, optimized for the selling and buying experience. As a result, in select categories, some sellers may see fewer item specifics to fill out when creating a new listing on web or mobile. We’re actively monitoring performance and taking seller feedback into consideration.
We’re constantly evaluating how to make listing on eBay easier and will keep you informed about any site-wide listing changes. Feel free to leave feedback in a comment below or via our survey during the listing process.
As always, thank you for selling on eBay.
Update as of 10/16/23:
Thank you to all sellers who shared their feedback. We have listened to your concerns and ended the test. We will continue to work on improving item specifics and keep the community informed of any site-wide changes.
The full list of item specifics will automatically reflect on your account for future listings. If you wish to add more item specifics to your previously published listings, the full list of item specifics is available when you revise your listing.

Can you please relay to management that the metrics for determining what is above or below standard for sellers is outdated?

Very glad to hear this. Selling one offs means taking forever to list and it's one of the most frustrating things on eBay. It's really annoying to have redundant items specifics such as height length. Other things like character I find totally useless. And it's one of the things that makes me want to procrastinate with listing. I would prefer if the title allowed more keywords and there were definitely a lot less item specifics.

I conclude that somebody "got to" a higher up...........maybe throwing all those names around did some good....
Hopefully.......they will rethink the "process"..........and come up with one that will actually work.........like consulting sellers before they initiate another "test"..........

I don't know why this post was directed at me @liawrig.nq8rdwqa3 . If you're asking me to relay your feedback I have no direct connections. If you're asking how to escalate feedback yourself then @ tag someone from the eBay Community team just like everybody else (including me) does. If you're going to do that I suggest starting a new discussion and being specific. Calling something outdated means nothing and the feedback will be ignored. Explaining why you think it's outdated and what you think the standards should be is more effective (if you have sound and logical reasoning).

This definitely could've been rolled out better. The Theme and Features options are crucial for clothing sellers as we need keywords to draw in certain buyers. Please revert back to the old system.

Just tell them to STOP. No more 'tests' this year.
Just let us get used to the changes you've made every week for the last two years, and sell some chit this Christmas.

Please ebay - not more "tests' this Q4.

#Stopthetests! Please, just stop the tests... I'm a full time ebay seller. 20 orders yesterday. Today one. Makes no sense.

One question, is the test still running?? ... or have the infinity stones been destroyed and the missing IS returned???!!! .... sorry.
But really is the test still going, have the IS been returned.
We only do sell similar so nothing changed for us, no problem making listing that maybe sell.

again thank you - didn't look at post - wish the 'arrow next to the ebay logo that points left' on the forum posts page was a link to those replies - now it just shows that they came here, not that they came back.
Again, thank you.
