WTHeck is going on with Ebay? Help!

I'm a new seller and when I first started selling I was able to call and ask questions directly to a human in the U.S.   Now I can't even get through to ANYONE. I tried calling several times and the AI or whatever it is kept telling me I was calling out of "Normal business hours."  It's 12:30 pm!  What is going on?  Also, my account says that I have already shipped an item I haven't shipped, and charged me a transaction fee when I read that I had none for the things I listed. Can someone help me? Is there a way to talk to a human in the u.s.? What has happened!  Thanks

If, by transaction fee, you mean the final value fee, there is almost no possible way to sell anything on eBay and not pay a fee.

How about returning and giving better details so we can possibly offer help?

If you're calling a number you found in a google search, that's not ebay - it's a scam number designed to bilk you out of personal information.  Ebay hasn't had a CS phone number since covid.

Ebay doesn't want sellers who need to call them on the phone. Everything is answered on the website, everything is usually very clear.  The sellers who won't read or follow policies, who won't read or understand anything are constantly assuming ebay is wrong with their math are sellers that ebay doesn't want or need.

I have been a full time seller for years, and I don't think I ever had need to talk to them on the phone. I had one major problem (my fault completely) a few years ago and I seem to recall getting even that fixed through the chat and not having to actually call anyone. That pretty much seems to be the general case with most full time sellers I know.

It's not logistically possible to pay somebody to answer questions that are already answered online.  It does require initiative and you have to search policies and read pages of information.  Asking here or even asking google can be helpful.

As soh.maryl said   "there is almost no possible way to sell anything on eBay and not pay a fee."

Maybe you misunderstood the difference between a listings fee and final value fee?  EBay would have been out of business decades ago if they didn't get a cut.  It is imperative you read all the policies pertinent to being a seller.  It's not an option to have them read to you over the phone.
