So I go into my account to print shipping labels for an order of 87 tokens (across three invoices, to the same buyer). It's telling me ship NOW and that it's overdue! I checked one of the listings, TEN days handling!! I made one listing and hit sell similar 87 times, so they are all the same.
I went and looked to see when he paid because I couldn't remember. He paid YESTERDAY!! How is it OVERDUE one day later with TEN days handling on my listing?
Am I going to be dinged 87 times for a late shipment?

We got a late shipping ding.
Buyer bought item, an hour later (he "found" the item cheaper, ours was multiples, he switched to one.) he asked eBay for a return.
He should have canceled the order. Not requested a return.
Not everyone can navigate the rules on eBay. It can be complicated,
Ebay refunded immediately.
We got a late shipping defect.
Item was refunded. Never had a chance to ship.
Spent hours, several calls, on the phone with CS.
We were Assured that defect would be taken off.
It never was.
We gave up. $9 item.
Not enough hours in our lives.
Shipping defect still there.
Guess it will roll off someday.
Ebay is so much harder than it could be.

Sorry, but you're dead wrong. These alleged late shipped items are now showing up on my metrics.
Yeah I know you won't bother to fix it because it's not "impacted my TRS" (yet) and when it does it will be too late to do anything.Hi @bar-29368, won't be too late, just contact Customer Service. You have up to 90 days to have an issue like this addressed from the time that the transaction occurs.
To quote CSR Jason who I spoke to about having the defect removed when I first started getting them (and shouldn't have been). "If you want that defect removed, that ain't going to happen."
You guys need to fix this problem, it's ridiculous that eBay wants me to ship next day when every single listing of mine has 10 days handling. I've got 87 dings coming for late shipment on the one order. Do you think your CSRs have time to deal with nonsense like that?

About 2-4 weeks ago I had a buyer request a cancellation, which I honored...
Ever since my sellers page shows "1 item" needs shipping but if I go to the shipping page, nothing.
It's that cancelled item, I am guessing the buyer never "approved?"
Which that's another wonky conky thing, "approving" a seller-issued cancellation that the buyer asked for goes against most people's rational way of thinking. Why do buyers have to "approve" these, and why does it continue to show I need to ship an item when they have not (also even if I wanted to ship I can't because it's not there, granted this is a good thing).
I have more...
Same day shipping cut-off times?
WONKY CONKY!!!
It does not always display items that need to be shipped today as such!
Often by the time I hit the cut-off I have some items stating do not need shipped today but watch out, ship them too or it will be "late." I have had the pleasure of experiencing this as well.

Couldn't you try to get the basic problem fixed.........that sellers are being shown the wrong date by which to ship?
Hi @dhbookds, the date shown in Seller Hub for the seller to ship by is not what determines their seller metric ratings. As I stated before, if a seller ships within their stated handling time they are meeting the expectation they have set and would be protected. If a seller has concerns about what is being included in their calculations, they can contact Customer Service to have this reviewed.

I'm really not in the mood to call CSR again about something that should have NEVER happened, only to hear a lecture on how I can avoid this type of issue by uploading tracking on time.
But thanks anyway.
It's ebay's error, why can't THEY fix it?

Apparently you're not 'getting it' either.
I had a sale that was bought and invoiced on the 17th & paid for on the 17th and ebay said I was late on the 18th because it should have shipped on the 17th, and I have 2 DAYS handling.
Now that transaction is showing as LATE & tracking not uploaded in time for all 4 items in the sale. ON MY DASHBOARD. So please do not tell me it's not affecting me.
This is ebay's ERROR, not mine.

Hi @bar-29368, I get what you are saying - you are seeing a date to ship by that is shorter than your stated handling time, and then you are being told your shipment is late even though your stated handling time has not passed. Additionally, you are seeing this transaction on your dashboard.
What I am saying is that you are protected if you ship within your stated handling time, and if anything is recorded incorrectly on your metrics we can review this for you.
I also encourage you to download and review the full report of what is being included in your seller metrics because some transactions will initially be recorded as a miss but will later be updated to give you credit for the transaction based on the information that becomes available.

Here's the flip side. Sold today, June 23. I have 3 day handling. Ship date is 13 business days out displaying 13 Jul. Good thing that I can count on my fingers so that I know when to ship.
Buyer is told to expect delivery between Jul 3-Jul 6.
Had they purchased yesterday they would have been shown fast n free GD on the 25th. ( Every Monday my estimated delivery dates jump out at least a week )

I experienced the same on my selling account. There were 3 combined invoices I sent to 3 different customers . They paid after they got their combined invoices and the next day it showed up in red on my seller hub waiting to be shipped page, as overdue to be shipped. The next day or so 12 items counted against me on my dashboard, - it took me from 100% to 90% and said my seller performance status is at risk. I have 3 day handling on all of my listings- none of those items were even close to being late on tracking uploaded or being shipped.
I did talk to a CS rep over the weekend and have received a message from Ebay saying they are eligible for appeal - there really should be nothing to appeal though - This is an Ebay system error that needs fixed - it messed up. But, I guess if it removes them that way, for now, that's good. The message said should be by Thursday or Friday.
The question is; are they working on fixing it? I hope so - I often have people win auctions or make offers and want to wait to pay so that items can be shipped together. Would really be a major pain to have to call CS every time someone wants combined shipping.
Thank you for looking into things.
