We have been selling on Ebay for 15+ years now, but since March sales have struggled. Ebay seemed to make changes to the search engine meaning items we had sold hundreds of units of were no longer selling. They became almost invisible.
Today we only had 8 sales on EBay. A few years ago we were averaging 50 a day.
I would be interested to hear how other sellers are doing at the moment? I am extremely worried about the way things seem to be going!

Pretty much the same story here as well. Sadly, I have reduced my eBay purchases by 99% so the sellers who used to get my business are no longer getting sales from me - I have slowed my roll and have the store up for best offer on almost everything and intend to wind it down slowly but surely.
Of course I have my suspicions, thoughts, conspiracy theories, rock solid based on experience ideas as to why our store has slowed down - not in total free fall but stalling for days...but all that armchair analysis does not really matter. It's ebay's playground and they make the rules and hold the cards. So I am adapting and modifying our store into a smaller and smaller existence and one day we will surely close. And it will be ok.
At one time it was fun and thrilling to find good buys, quality items that people wanted and appreciated. The vast majority of our customers have been honest and great to work with and the interactions have been positive.
The constant hike in fees, shipping expenses, the fact that promoted listings are necessary for product to have any chance at visibility and the shape shifting rules and policies are just annoying and the struggle is ongoing with no relief in sight. So, given that my plan is to accept reasonable best offers, not purchase any additional inventory, donate books to the library, sell what I can on local on-line platforms with zero fees and no return risk, donate for a tax write off........wind it down to a planned and thoughtful give away and dump the rest.
In the end, I will regain a room in my house and be left with some good memories of some really nice customers.
It is sad that ebay has developed a reputation for grinding down sellers with nickel and dime fees and penalties along with consistent platform glitches. ebay had and hopefully one day will regain a positive reputation with both sellers and buyers - hope springs eternal.

Slow start to the year and I hit some slow spots when I wasn’t listing much. Been listing more consistently for the last month and it’s been paying off. October was my best month this year and November has already seen 8 sales for me, which is a lot since I’m not a volume seller.

So sorry to hear that! A lot of us sellers have been going thru the same thing. My counters do not seem to be working either.

Give it couple of hours and you'll have few members of "our" community who will explain to you how your listings needs to be fixed/your prices are not competitive enough/you're doing wrong this, and bad that and it's all you and your 15 years of selling experience that means nothing.

Or phase out gracefully and move on to the next opportunity. Sometimes you can adapt yourself to death by a thousand cuts.

October 2019 was my worst month since I began selling on eBay in 2011 (and 2019 has also been my worst selling year).
Just when you think that it can't get any worse, eBay pulls another deranged rabbit out of the hat -- and -- VOILA! -- things DO get worse.
Sales down over 90% since March 2014 -- way to go, eBay!

It is hard to judge November for me yet but as for October it was OK. Not as much as I had hoped but I did OK.
All these reports of slow sales is very scary. I've been on the threads a long time and I don't ever remember this many issues with sales which is likely exasperated by the growing number of active glitches on the site.
I hope for all of us, Ebay gets the glitches under control extremely soon and we can all get on with a GOOD Holiday season as this is beyond frustrating on so many levels.

i have been selling here since 2000... this is the worst i have ever seen sales.
and just like you, i have pretty much stopped buying from ebay because a) i only buy a lot if i have extra money to spend and b) i feel that ebay treats me as a seller poorly, so if i have to buy something online, i purchase elsewhere.
when ebay realizes that sellers are also buyers and starts to treat us accordingly, maybe things will get a little bit better.

Totally agree with you - people are simply reporting their actual real time experience.
