Thank you, I could understand if the items sale on eBay are new but the one I purchase is pre-own and it has specific description of imperfections which I could see on the image. I would not think that it would have 2 items identically as the seller described.
I was curious if seller could set up the multiple account, using the same images and put different price on each account ??
I purchased from one of the seller and they posted the items but then I got a message from another seller offered me the discount price which is the exactly the same items. So that why I got confused.
Oh i thought you were talking about a new item. On a pre-owned/unique item, i would never use someone else's photo. That doesn't make any sense. If it's a one of a kind item it surely has visible differences. Using someone else's photo is just opening up yourself to a "not as pictured" or "not as described" claim.

Assuming it is a new enough item. to have a UPC code.......Ebay has what they used to call "catalog" pages of the same item.......ie. the same model mixer......so when sellers list with links to that page it shows all the same info and pictures. I think they now refer to them as "product" pages......

It's common. Lots of sellers out there use the same pictures to advertise/promote their items ... provided its the exact same item.

I am seller of gemstones. Very often I see gemstones on ebay with photographs that are the same image for multiple stone sales. I also notice that photos are computer generated, color altered and/or touched up. These altered photos are a false description of what one is purchasing and not the actual item. The buyer needs to be cautious and ask questions when seeing these items and ask the seller for a photo of the actual item. Be aware of images have the same photo on other sales, photos that look like a drawings, photos that have no back ground fading or photos hows color is too good to be true. Hope I was helpful.

Thank you for the info. Another things the price of those from 3 sellers are totally different. As it is pre-own watch and it is specifically described the items as it chipped on glass so it is easy noticeable when viewing the image.
The seller posted the item today and has not arrives yet but I was surprised as another seller send me an offer price of the same watch.
I did message seller who i purchased from and questioning them about this concern.
Can one seller set up the multiple account and set the varying price ?

Sellers can have more than one account......but shouldn't be listing the same item on 2 accounts because if they sell both (the same one item), they could be in real trouble for being out of stock. I would look at the 2nd seller and see if he has removed the "same item" for sale as the one you bought. Some dumb sellers will copy a listing but fail to change pictures or descriptions to conform to their actual item.....so it could possibly be a different item, tho the same model.

They are using the catalog page by inputting the UPC from the item OR they are authorized sellers using stock photos provided by the manufacturer.
