Updating listings to Ground Advantage ... it could have been made easy ...

It sure would have been nice to have a column on our Active list that we could sort by Shipping method like First Class, Priority Mail, Media Mail, etc.

When using the Bulk Editor the Domestic shipping default is Flat Rate not Calculated so that's something else one has to change when updating to G-A.

Some forward thinking would have made this new shipping method update ... a ... whole ... lot ... easier

Re: Updating listings to Ground Advantage ... it could have been made easy ...

I wish there was a way to sort out the stuff I have as media mail. I think I'm going to have to change everything to parcel, then go in and change media BACK by catergory... I don't think there is an easier method, I don't want to manually go through 2k klistings.

@secondlooksales   There was plenty of time for them to do something to make the change go faster and be more convenient for Sellers but they failed to do that ... or if they did do something I don't know about it nor do other Sellers ... millions of them

I did most of my First Class already but did not add it to many of my Priority Mail shipments ...

@secondlooksales

I don't know if this will work.......but on your active listing page in Seller Hub.......can you search by ebay category-books?  If so you can get a list.........or you could do each of the categories, except books.......  if you have any Motors manuals, would need to skip it also........

@dhbookds   Here are the canned column choices in Seller Hub ...

This is exactly what you should do @secondlooksales - select all categories except the ones with media mail listings. For info on how to sort your listings by category, check the bulk edit link in my signature below.

Re: Updating listings to Ground Advantage ... it could have been made easy ...

This is why I switched over to business policies awhile back in seller hub. It really makes it easy to change the shipping on all my items in case the need ever arises.

I have 582 items, and 5 shipping policies. When I want to change the shipping, all I have to do is go to the business policies, and make the change there. When I switched all 415 items that had first class to ground advantage, all I had to do was change one business policy.

When I create the listing, instead of selecting what shipping I want for each listing, all I need to do is select which shipping policy I want to use and input the weight, and box dimensions.

Business policies makes it easy to:

- Add, delete, or remove USPS, UPS, or Fed Ex services

- See how many listings are under each policy, and view those listings individually

 - Change your handling times.

- Change from calculated to flat rate or free shipping.

- Create or delete policies as needed

- Decide to ship internationally yourself, and tell which locations you are willing to ship to.

 * To exclude from shipping international all together, you need to go go selling preferences and opt out of Ebay's EIS international shipping, or exclude all countries.

My business policies are for

- USPS ground advantage: mainly for items under 15 oz

- USPS Ground / Priority: giving both options for items over a pound

- Media mail / ground: for items under 15 oz

- Media mail / ground / priority: options for over a pound

 - USPS ground no international

If it was convenient for me, I could add options for UPS and FedEx to give customers more choices.

I could create policies just for any shipping service I wanted to.

Re: Updating listings to Ground Advantage ... it could have been made easy ...

PS. There are only three types of business policies.

Shipping policies discussed above.

Payment policy which also gives you options for immediate payment required. Other payment methods: cash on pick up, check, or money order.

Return policy which has the options of 14, 30, or 60 day returns, and whether the seller or buyer pays for returns. Options for international returns.

As with shipping policies, you can create more than one payment or return policy if you wish.
