This started happening to me a few weeks ago. Upon making updates to an item description, those changes are not showing up when I click on to view the item.
Things I have tried (on Google Chrome) :
-Logging out and viewing item while logged out. Same problem.
-Clearing all cache. Same problem.
-Clearing all site cookies. Same problem.
-Flushing DNS cache (from command prompt). Same problem.
-DOWNLOADING AND INSTALLING A DIFFERENT WEB BROWSER (firefox) and viewing from there. SAME PROBLEM (and yes, I made sure not to import Chrome settings).
-Downloading a portable version of Chrome and viewing from there. Same problem.
-Viewing from an old version of Internet Explorer (8) - page displays fine.
-Viewing from a different ebay site (ebay.co.uk) - page displays fine.
And we're now talking a page that I updated over a week ago and this is still happening. The new images show up fine, and even the text right above the description has the correct revision date, but the description itself still displays the old description text.
I thought maybe it was just something weird with my one work computer as it displayed fine on other computers that had never viewed that item page before. But then I come home and try on my home computer - AND SAME EXACT PROBLEMS ON THIS COMPUTER.
I'm at a total loss as to what is going on here.

Yeah--I've read a couple of threads on this same phenomenon.
If you want to join in those discussions . . .
Description Text is Saved in the Text Entry Box, But Not in Live Listing

I noticed the same problem last night when listed a new item. I use Wonder Lister to upload my items and updated my description and title slightly, the description and the shipping details remained the same. How do you list yours?

I spoke in ebay chat with someone for about 15 minutes yesterday about this and she ultimately told me that it was an issue with my machine. Rep also told me that I was the only one reporting such a problem (hence why I didn't bother searching the forum for previous topics on this before creating a new one). I guess that is what I get for believing an ebay rep.
From a technical standpoint, what is going on? It makes no sense that the page displays fine on IE but not Chrome, Firefox, or Chrome portable. Also displays fine on other computers that hadn't previously viewed the old page.
MY concern is that potential ebay shoppers who HAVE previously viewed my listing, then added to their watch list, then came back to buy later after I've made a change to the listing but THEY can't see the change. Perhaps I should reach out to a few of my past ebay buyers and see if any of them will voluntarily re-click on one of my edited listings on the same device from which they made the purchase and see if the changes show up for them.

Interesting type of problem to be having or discovering. When you edit a listing, you would expect any changes made should be saved and ultimately go live shortly there after.
Many moons ago when you edited a listing it actually displayed (to the seller & I believe to buyers) that the listing had been edited and what the edit was. This was changed to yes a change was made and the date. No details so not really that helpful.
In testing just now with 2 listings previously edited it appears the revision link has been de-activated. Left clicking causes it to spin but not load. (Chrome). Right clicking does not give the option to load in a new page. If someone can confirm....Greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I checked your listings. After the 4rth one of seeing a description I am convinced your descriptions are not hidden.

Display of revisions(lacking details) now loading for 154505983625. Example attached. From viewing hard to know if they were seller or eBay generated revisions. Ask me what they were if made by me, I plead the fifth. 🙂
