Updates are happening to some item specifics and category structures

We announced in our most recent Seller Update that we’ve revised some categories and item specifics to help make your listings easier to find on eBay and by external search engines. 

Starting today, you’ll see updates to the following categories:

Business & Industrial (Sinks)

Collectibles & Toys 

Electronics (Cameras)

Health & Beauty (Covid tests)

Home & Garden

Parts & Accessories (Wheels & Tires)

Sporting Goods (Golf & Cycling)

Watches

During this transition, your listing experience could be temporarily impacted, as well as the visibility of your listings.  You may notice some item specifics changing names, listings moved to different categories, or some listings temporarily not appearing in searches. 

Any affected listings should return to normal within a week, though some effects to listings’ visibility in searches may continue for up to three weeks. 

Once these changes are complete, we recommend checking your listings in the above categories to see if any were affected.  Learn more about category changes → please scroll down the page to see the links for the specific category changes.

We understand these updates will take extra time and may cause some frustration, but our goal is to help you increase your listings’ visibility and sales.

We are having the same issue, views went from over 100 a day to under 5 a day, no watchers and even less sales. We average 30 a week now barely scraping 2 sales.

now  1 or 0 views and maybe 2 sales a week?  I have done this over 20 years, I have over 800 items listed.  I use promoted listing and have had continuous markdown sales, each time adding another 5% off.  Still nothing.  My store name is recycledstufff

I hear you - if eBay 'fixed' their view count to remove bots and show more accurate amount of views on my listings, then I am depressed and questioning why I even sell on eBay - working hard to list every day and get 1 view a week if I am lucky?? Betcha the 'drop shippers' are still getting 100's views & sales per day and are at the top of every search, eBay is forgetting or discarding us little guys.

Also weird that you cannot sort active listings by views, so I have to scroll down through all of them to look for who is getting the 'most' (I use that term loosely) views.

Unless the drop shippers are selling the same thing you are..........their views shouldn't matter, except that they may bring in buyers who look for other stuff............

I agree 200%..why don't  all of we small guys ZERO out - QUIT _ STOP

and watch 'em fall and go out of business? LOL . I am on your side and it just ain't fun anymore trying to keep up with all the hi-tech changes and pay someone to make us worry and sweat..The door swings both ways I suppose and at 75, I am no longer willing to roll with the flow when I can be just as broke sittin' on the bank as I can running the out of control world wide race for the most no views / no sales..

Exactly. MEANWHILE, a seller, who has 3.6 million sales is sending unsolicited messages to my account sponsored by eBay. In no way do I follow or watch their products, why am I receiving a message about them? Why is seller exclusively shown on the home page for recommended sellers? While all of these other sellers are failing? Go look at her page guys, go to her products and click on Sold listings. She's had 294 sales in clothing TODAY ALONE. I want my money back... 0 views no matter what I do anymore. Top rated. Upgraded store. Products not showing for searches, instead it says results matching fewer keywords. I get fed some excuse about the system needing to index it and it should show up within 24-72 hours. That was also a lie.

I think seller gives her stuff to Ebay - like a consignment and Ebay sell her stuff (they do all listing job for Linda).

I feel ya there. Ive been "playing" with everything ive got listed for the last 6 days roughly to attempt to get even 1 sale and the 1 sale i got was an offer that was sent out on anbitem that had a watcher over a weeke ago. Ive even ended all listing relisted some etc. Went from 30+a day to well now 1 in a week.

Whatever she has done it's selling a huge number of items. Over 400 items sold today. But you need to remember her store is doing a lot of advertising, videos, coupons and everything else she can think of doing.

She is a BIG-time seller.  More power to her & the Ebay store.

This statement is an absolute LIE. Due to it is affecting QUIET A BIT in CCG COLLECTIBLES.2 days ago relisted a few items to see if i had a snag or not and lone behold 2 days of ABSOLUTELY ZERO VIEWS. The only sales ive made were from offers sent to recurring buyers. Ive tinkered on and off on ALL of my listings INCLUDING severely raising the promoted listings value WAYYYYYYY above needed levels ie ask for atleast 3.9% i list it OVER 14% and still absolutely NOTHING....

She has over 85,000  listings.

Percentage wise, her selling ratio isn't all that hot right now, either.

Over 1700 items since 5-21-2022. She is doing something right. Thats 2% of total inventory. Not bad**

I'm lagging behind...was replying after reading about her selling 400 today.

With so many boutique (read, higher prices) pieces she has, many another part of it is that her buyers generally might have more money

And, undoubtably, she  most likely has a big following so that any new changes don't  keep her from being found.

Definately a success story.

I don’t see that autohubshop has trouble with their auto parts sales and they don’t sell cheap. So the theory that people have bo money to spend on parts and the economy and all other excuses is total lie. Ebay chose certain sellers and excluded others from sales.
