We announced in our most recent Seller Update that we’ve revised some categories and item specifics to help make your listings easier to find on eBay and by external search engines.

Starting today, you’ll see updates to the following categories:

Business & Industrial (Sinks)

Collectibles & Toys

Electronics (Cameras)

Health & Beauty (Covid tests)

Home & Garden

Parts & Accessories (Wheels & Tires)

Sporting Goods (Golf & Cycling)

Watches

During this transition, your listing experience could be temporarily impacted, as well as the visibility of your listings. You may notice some item specifics changing names, listings moved to different categories, or some listings temporarily not appearing in searches.

Any affected listings should return to normal within a week, though some effects to listings’ visibility in searches may continue for up to three weeks.

Once these changes are complete, we recommend checking your listings in the above categories to see if any were affected. Learn more about category changes → please scroll down the page to see the links for the specific category changes.

We understand these updates will take extra time and may cause some frustration, but our goal is to help you increase your listings’ visibility and sales.

I have sold on eBay for 22 years and have NEVER had a month of no sales. For the last two months I

had to pay for my store subscription with NO sales. Does eBay just want me to close my store? I

have been loyal to eBay from day one and offer excellent customer service. What can I do or as I just stated,

do they want me to close my store?

Truth is one can find what they want on ebay no more.... Search is trash.

Please add my store in for review, teamxiong, realised a drop in volume since May, had tried increasing promoted listing % and even done a markdown but to no avail, but nothing worked.

Hi, Great drop in eBay sales. I release new items and have no views for two days. It is not normal. It's like my account is stuck in a dead end and no one sees it. We disappeared from Google. Maybe eBay should pay attention to this. We are their bees, aren't we...

So if the changing in categories and specifics are the only issue. Shouldn't our slow sales be increasing after going over listings and making revisions. My business has been slow for months. Not a good time at all. Big impact when Ebay is the only place I Sell.

Hi, My sales have almost dissappeared! I am getting almost zero views. I have been selling for years and have done very well in the past. I do not invest in the "promote your listing", I have before with no luck. I believe since eBay wants more money for promoting the items, they must hide our listings. GREED! All listings should be promoted !!!! I list 10 items starting at .99 cents, one may sell for .99 cents with no other sales and no other views. What is going on??? I get more for my items in a yard sale now days.

Everytime I get something going good, eBay changes it. Get it right and leave it alone! If it ain't broke, then don't fix it! My sales are awful! Hardly any views whatsoever!

Ebay you really need to go back to the old style view listings.. Ever since that absolutely horrendous change, sales have absolutely tanked for many many sellers.. STOP CHANGING CRAP, nothing was broke with the old way things were, and now they are horrible. Its quite obvious something is broken with your system. Just waiting on things to return to some sort of normalcy, but as of late, this is horrible.

I have sold some items for .99 cents lately which should have went for much more..... A complete disaster, loosing money!! Hardly any watchers or views on the majority of my listings. So, why would I want to promote a listing for $1.99 just to have it sell for .99 cents???? Does eBay care?? NO!!! Would they offer a refund? NO!! There are lots and lots of people angry and ready to quit eBay and I am one of them. I am unable to work any more and my social security does not stretch the whole month. Ebay used to help me out a lot but no more, NOBODY looks at my items. I believe eBay should stop these "promote your listings" deal , quit being greedy and promote all items equally.
