Unpaid Auctions...is a real problem...at least for me!

Yes .....yes. I know all about what to do when......BUT the problem is at the root of how payments for won auctions are handled. Why do I have to jump through hoops to have my listing fees reimbursed sometimes in the future, when it would be the easiest thing to release the Immediate Payment required function for won Auctions.

Every reputable Auction House online has that in place.

Buyers DO NOT take this serious at all..! They think it's just a fun game. So I have a block on bidders that have 0 feedback..still...they bid and win. And then....nothing. Many sellers gave up on auctions entirely, others from my FB group are doing fine. Is that the reason why nothing changes about the Rule?

The catch with that is that every reputable Auction House online probably does not have the simple eBay MBG policy where a buyer that really did not want to pay has an easy solution that would cost the seller more in the long run.

I deal with a lot of reputable online auction houses, and none of them charge as soon as the auction is over.

Same here - it's been a while since I listed anything for auction... this item sold, zero communication from buyer, case opened and closed and item relisted, and the same thing is happening now, no communication. The case will auto-open tomorrow. I thought a bid was a promise to buy? Apparently not?

don't try selling an iphone...it's been ridiculous so far. I've blocked and removed 4 bidders with 0 FB in the last 30 minutes. Sadly, there's still no option to not accept bids from those idiots. They're the most obvious ones..0 FB and member since this year (probably 5 minutes ago). -_-

You can push a button that says you are blocking buyers with 2 unpaid strikes. That sure as heck doesnt mean anything.

First you cant see their strikes. Second if it actually was a thing they can just open a new account. Third its not a thing. I had the same guy noy pay for 5 auctions in a month. Opened case on each. He was able to do 3 more the next month. Still active today 2 years later with lots of positive feedback saying "never pays". Not feedback from me.

Re: Unpaid Auctions...is a real problem...at least for me!

Good point a promise to buy.

After reading many of the remarks on my posting, I came to the conclusion THAT eBay will never change the rule , simply because
1. Auctions are something that eBay is known for to attract customers the the site.
2. THE business formula is all about fees, can you imagine how much $$$
there are collected every single day? Even they are in the end reimburse.

I just a big Money machine.

That block used to require UIDs from two different sellers. That may be why the block didn’t work.

As long as there are auctions there will be deadbeats. As long as there are non-IPR listings, there will be deadbeats.

The two strike block works just fine, but sellers actually have to file and close unpaid item disputes, not cancel. You can blame each and every one of those sellers that left the "negative" feedback. It's THEIR FAULT, because when you close out a UID feedback cannot be left by either party.

Sellers need to use the tools available to help themselves AND other sellers.
