Unnecessary saved drafts when I launch listings BIG PROBLEM

I posted the complaint below yesterday in Technical Issues and I did not get any reply. This is a very annoying  problem and I hope someone from eBay will take a look at it and come up with a solution. Yes, I know, I can delete all the unnecessary drafts, but they keep self saving, and checking if my listings actually launched is wasting my time.

I posted earlier in another post started by another member but I want to clarify exactly what happens in my case.
When I click on SELL AN ITEM
I get the screen TELL US WHAT YOU'RE SELLING
I select the OPTION that matches my listing
I create my listing on the CREATE LISTING FORM: title, description, upload pictures, price, etc....
Then I click LIST ITEM
I DO NOT CLICK SAVE AS A DRAFT
Every times I LAUNCH a listing it also creates a DRAFT
This started January 24. I have a bunch of listings that are already active and also showing in my draft folder.

This is a big problem. It is confusing and time consuming. I have to check my active listings to make sure they are running and I am also afraid to delete the drafts because there might be a listing that didn't launch!

I am using a PC with windows 10 and Edge. there is nothing wrong with my PC. Its an eBay bug which needs to be addressed ASAP.

Re: Unnecessary saved drafts when I launch listings BIG PROBLEM

@vivabe   Someone just directed me to your thread ... I have the same issue with Duplicates being saved in the Draft folder.  The 2nd one is being generated during one of the Auto-save cycles of the site and dumping the listing in the Draft file.  I know this because ALL the duplicates are missing pictures and other settings below that on the listing form.  Its like eBay is displaying their memory through the Draft folder ...

Thank you for posting. Last time I posted, I deleted the drafts that were in the draft folder (after making sure all listings have ben launched) but I never clicked on the duplicate drafts.

Based on your information, I just clicked on one of the duplicates in the draft folder (from listings I launched yesterday) and yes, pictures, description, etc. are missing on the listing form. So its good to know that they couldn't be launched by mistake. But its still a big problem if you want to save actual drafts, like another member stated before and you would have to check drafts one by one to differentiate the "fake" ones from the "real" ones.

Another strange thing is that out of the several listings launched yesterday, one was not saved as duplicate draft. So it might also be random... and I ironically had to check if the listing was actually running because it wasn't in the duplicate drafts folder.

I hope this is fixed soon and, again, thanks for your input

Re: Unnecessary saved drafts when I launch listings BIG PROBLEM

Hi, newbie to selling here. This is happening to some of my listings. It seems to happen when I relist with revisions. I'm such a low volume seller that it's not a big problem to check that those listing are, indeed, live but it is confusing and I would prefer not to have to check. Any updates?

The problem was announced to be resolved in February by brian.t@ebay

I personality stopped experiencing the problem at the same time without doing anything.

You might get more help by starting a new post.

Re: Unnecessary saved drafts when I launch listings BIG PROBLEM

What do you mean, this has been resolved? It's been happening to me all month. Ebay is spawning unnecessary draft versions. I don't know which one is partially completed. It's very annoying.

What's more, it looks like now there's a limit (12) on the number of drafts and some of mine have disappeared, amounting to hours of work.

Re: Unnecessary saved drafts when I launch listings BIG PROBLEM

I use the Draft option extensively and I've experienced that problem. What's worse for me is a saved draft will multiply. One draft turns into 2, then 3, then 4.
