I posted the complaint below yesterday in Technical Issues and I did not get any reply. This is a very annoying problem and I hope someone from eBay will take a look at it and come up with a solution. Yes, I know, I can delete all the unnecessary drafts, but they keep self saving, and checking if my listings actually launched is wasting my time.
I posted earlier in another post started by another member but I want to clarify exactly what happens in my case.
When I click on SELL AN ITEM
I get the screen TELL US WHAT YOU'RE SELLING
I select the OPTION that matches my listing
I create my listing on the CREATE LISTING FORM: title, description, upload pictures, price, etc....
Then I click LIST ITEM
I DO NOT CLICK SAVE AS A DRAFT
Every times I LAUNCH a listing it also creates a DRAFT
This started January 24. I have a bunch of listings that are already active and also showing in my draft folder.
This is a big problem. It is confusing and time consuming. I have to check my active listings to make sure they are running and I am also afraid to delete the drafts because there might be a listing that didn't launch!
I am using a PC with windows 10 and Edge. there is nothing wrong with my PC. Its an eBay bug which needs to be addressed ASAP.

Why is this a problem for you? I never even look at my draft folder.

Have you had any instance where something you thought you launched was only saved in DRAFTS and wasn't launched? If not, just ignore the issue and don't let it distract you.

The drafts show up on the list your item form each time I list an item.
And if this is not a problem for you, thanks a bunch for letting me know! Its very helpful.

Just curious to know, since I see you have an eBay store, you must be using the Seller Hub? I am not experienced in that area, was just curious because I also sell (sold) (not on this ID) and when I would click on Sell An Item I think I used to get a screen that asked me what category I wanted to list my item in? If it was a recently used category, I'd click that and then start with the subject in the Title, then just go on down the page and fill in whatever info was necessary about the item I'm selling/listing.
OK, I'm probably just confused. lol
I hope you are able to get this problem resolved.

When I click on "sell an item" I paste the title (I copied from my own template) and then categories options show up.
Once I click on the category then I get the listing form and paste my listing description. I just add specifics, etc.I have done that for a long time. Its easy. I don't use the ebay template because its an open door to mistakes for me because I need to change too many details.
I also do not use relist or sell similar all the time. I use my template to re-list as new listings.
I hope it makes more sense now 🐵

And my emoticon on my reply to you should be a HAPPY FACE!

OK, so you copy and then just paste the title copied from your own template into a new listing form .... and then follow the prompts as (I would think) any seller does, and then enter your item specifics and price, etc. and list the item.
And then when you go back (somewhere) you then see a Draft of the same item you just listed?
If that is correct, have you ever deleted that saved draft??

The same thing is happening to me. When I list an item, I get a clone draft. When I do a listing that I save as a draft on purpose, I get a clone draft. I have just been deleting the additional draft as I go but I am a small seller and do my listings one at a time from scratch so it's no problem for me and not confusing. I'm not sure how this would work for anyone else.

Wow. You have a lot of nice items listed - 649 some odd. If you're a "small" seller, then surely I was a teensy-tiny-itty-bitty seller. I never listed more than about 50 items at any one time (from scratch). lol

I see the draft of the item I have just listed when I am listing another item. And on and on. I have listed about 20 new items since the 24th. They are all running. Each item has been saved as a draft as well. UI also relisted or sell similar items in bulk with no problems.
I will delete the drafts, of course.
The issue is that if this is a glitch, it should be corrected. When you have 20 plus items in drafts, it is scary. You want to make sure they were all listed.
Anyway, I did not want to make a big deal about it. Just warn members and ebay if this is a glitch so it can be fixed.

Agree with the OP and gymbo - this has been happening to me routinely for about a month. Sure it's easy to cancel a draft - but often - something interrupts you and you may not get back to listing till the next day. I then have to check my actives to see if the listing populated or indeed was saved to draft. When you have purposely made drafts to launch at later dates and then see a bunch of new drafts for items you thought you already launched - it is a waste of time to have to go thru everything. There are often times - Ebay freezes when using IE and it looks like you've lost everything - so you start a brand new listing only to find out the previous listing was saved to draft - but it's not always consistent.
I'm tech challenged as it is - so maybe someone else has an idea of what might be happening so we can avoid it.

Sorry, I wasn’t trying to be unhelpful, I just was trying to get clarification as to why it is a problem for you. I create my listing, launch it, click on the link to proof it and I’m done. I never even look at the draft folder. If there are drafts out there, it just has had no impact on me.

Thanks for clarification.
I understand. I don't look in the drafts folder either. Its just in this case, the drafts are just right under my nose when I start a new listing. I just listed a few more new ones and drafts are accumulating. I will delete later.
No big deal. I will patiently wait for the bug to be fixed.
