Unable to list 3 separate plants which have the same listing details but each looks different..

Hello, Sellers!

I listed 3 large succulent plants separately with the exact same listing details...price etc. But, each plant looks different in shape even though they share every other characteristic. I had no problem listing them at first. But, in lowering the price, I can only list one because it says I can't list identical items and must sell in bulk.

Is this still considered a "bulk listing" even though I'm only selling three plants? How do I create a bulk listing? Just change the number of items available?  And how do I show the photos where the plants can be seen to be different in shape in case someone prefers one plant more than another?

Thank you so much for any advice?

I would add a small change in your title. (Didn't look the listing up).  Like Plant (A)   or (1st).  Just enough to indicate it IS a different item!  Works for my items with almost exact everything like your 3 plants.

You have to make the 3 listings look different to the bot that thinks they're for identical items.

As suggested in another post, add a word or two to your title and perhaps also add a sentence in the Description which will help your potential customers differentiate between them. Perhaps add the height or width measurement, if that's different.

Is there some reason you're offering all three simultaneously rather than listing one until it's sold, then listing another? Perhaps some buyer might want more than one of them? Because otherwise, setting up 3 auctions is just competing with yourself -- if there are 3 interested buyers, each can get one at the opening bid price.

Another option to get around the bot is to remove the 'Buy it now' option from the auctions.  But then, only one will be shown to potential buyers, until it gets a bid. Here's eBays policy on identical items:

Some items do better as fixed price listings; if you don't get an auction bidder within two or three cycles, it's time to switch to a "Good until canceled" listing. Those appeal more to buyers who don't want to wait around to see if they're won an item.

Thank you @moldy5  🤗  This may be best as I alreayd created the listings and will change the name if they allow me.  Otherwise, I will create the variation listing through the link provided by @stuff4divas

I wish I could think creatively like you...thanks!

I assumed people prefer auctions, so that's how they ended up as auctions!  When this cycle ends, I'll change that to a "Good until canceled" listing.

Thank you so much @nobody*s_perfect Your answer was "perfect" as I'd rather just list it and not worry about bidders, etc.

Yes, just change a word in the title or what I sometimes do is just add an A, B, C at the end of the title.  It makes them not identical & it helps me differentiate between the 3.
