So I was wondering why I had so many views and 0 watchers on a small, inexpensive item. Checked and found that the shipping cost was outrageous given the price of the item. I've since found that when creating new listings, the default shipping method is Priority Mail even for items under 1 pound (and I'm not using a template to create new listings, this is true when creating listings from scratch). Is this part of the new guaranteed delivery thing? Or a techinical bug? Just started happening within the past few days, and I haven't changed anything on my end. Would like to know if others are seeing this too. Thanks.

Usually when I create a listing I notice the shipping is defaulted to the same shipping I had on the last listing I created or revised. I don't really care, though, since I always adjust my shipping for the item I am currently listing.
As far as your thread title goes, do not use flat rate boxes for regular weight based Priority shipments.

Yeah, that wasn't the title of the thread I started. My title got completely screwed up somehow--seemed to copy the title from another thread. Bizarre.
In any case, yes, it used to do the same for me--default to the same method I used in the previous listing. But I keep changing Priority to 1st class, and for the next listing, have to do the same thing. Must be a technical glitch (one of many these days).
Thanks for the reply.

@tan.valerClear your history cookies and cache then reboot. Sometimes that will help clear those defaults.
Shipping, listing duration and item condition often default. I just saw another thread where it looks like a free returns policy is defaulting, too.

Sometimes it keeps what you put on the previous listing sometimes it doesn't. Never been able figure out the when or why of it. I just have to review everything on each listing, and I still miss things sometimes.
