Geez for days on end my ebay label tracking numbers won't automatically transfer over into my paypal account. I have better things to do than fish around in seller hub (which I never asked for) looking for tracking numbers and manually pasting each one into my paypal account. I have no time or patience for such ridiculous mundane things that should happen on their own when I'm forced to use SH which is foreign to me and slows me down to begin with.
It wasn't all that long ago I had a case opened in paypal for "unauthorized credit card use" by a buyer (or their bank) but paypal said I didn't need to do anything because my tracking number had already been uploaded at the time. The case was closed in my favor all on it's own. Ebay keeps forcing new rules on us but maybe they should take a look in the mirror

I have had four case this month everyone of them I had to manualy enter the tracking # which shows the items were delivered on time. Now I have the money from all four sales pending while Paypal reveiws them.

I don't think ebay stores the tracking numbers for as long as paypal, do they? That's why I would like them to populate on their own immedietly.

WHAT??!?? That doesn't make any sense. PP has NO POLICY that says they will put money on hold while they review a tracking number that you added. Are you sure there isn't something else going on here?

This has been going on for a couple of weeks and PP is aware of it. They said it is a glitch on another thread and are working on it.
If you click on the transaction in PP you will see that the tracking number is there but not on the summary page.
If you can enter them manually then you are lucky because most of us that have this glitch can't even do that. I keep getting a "Sorry we seem to have encountered a problem, try later" or other things that will not let me manually enter the tracking number.
Here is a link to thread talking about this. If you go to post #15 there is a link to where PP responded.

Might as well add to the thread. I've seen this tracking not uploading to PayPal off and on for quite some time ( as in randomly over many many many many months)
Recently, (about a week ago) I had a small batch of PayPal entries that no matter what screen option I chose, tracking would not upload. After a few days passed, the add tracking screens were operational again.
We end up expecting and hoping technology to work all the time, it doesn't. What gets frustrating is when some part of technology isn't working, forces you to think, is there a possibility the problem is on the user (our) end.
More time spent troubleshooting, when often times but not always, the tech issue has nothing to do with the user.

Here is what is happening to me. Buyer opens a case on PP for unauthorized purchase. The USPS tracking shows delivery to their PP confirmed address. PP puts a hold on the funds. For each case I have to respond by entering the tracking #.
Weeks later the case is closed in the buyer's favor. I call and I am told that it was a mistake and they will cover me as the tracking shows delivery to the confirmed address. Later I go back and inquire again. PP has still not reversed the decision even though I was told they would. These cases are not opened for items not received, wrong item, ect. The buyer is claiming they did not make the purchase but the tracking shows delivery to their PP confirmed address.
The other great issue is PP's own employee states I should have been covered and the transaction will be covered but later I go back and find it is not. It seems I cannot trust Paypal any longer to honour seller protection.

I should added. There is no case opened on Ebay for any of these transactions. If I call Ebay about the sale they say is is a Paypal issue and to contact PP. Of course I can't really sell on Ebay without using PP.

I just checked and had another closed in the buyers favor for $79.18
Buyer says they never received the item. However USPS tracking shows delivery to their confirmed address. No case was opened on Ebay & no contact from the buyer.

Both Ebay's and Paypal's "seller protection" isn't really protection at all. They will 99% side with the buyer as long as they don't say anything incriminating. If a credit card is involved, you will lose. Neither will fight for you, and you have absolutely zero recourse to contact the credit card company or mediate.
PayPal will even charge you for deigning to "dispute" any sort of credit card chargeback. I even got a dispute charge when I didn't dispute anything. Had to call up PayPal and get that fee refunded (took me nearly 45 minutes!)

What about Paypal's guaranteed seller protection? It states if the seller can show confirmed delivery to the buyer the seller will be protected from charge backs and the dispute fee will be waived. In every single case I can show USPS delivery confirmation to the biyer's PP confirmed address.

I forgot to add I also have an email from a Paypal employee that sates these charge backs are an error and all funds will be returned. That email was sent on 27 Sept. But the transactions are either closed in the customer's favor or are still under reveiw.
