Cubic pricing shouldn't apply in this situation as its for boxes 0.5 cubic feet and under. A 12x12x8 package is 0.67.

What city are you shipping to? You mentioned ZONE 8 but 29455 (South Carolina). If you are shipping to the East Coast $10.85 seems pretty unbelievable for 6 pound package.
If you are really shipping from CALIF to ZONE 8 then $10.85 would make sense. I just shipped some Priority packages to different parts of CALIF and got super cheap rates. EBAY gets discounted rates.

Ebay has recently introduced cubic pricing which cares about dimensions instead of weight, you should have already been using for many years now via pirate ship.
It still seems like you might have a typo in the box dimensions, I would back out and try it again.

That doesn't sound right to me at all.
The discounted rate should be around $25.

You might really want to experiment between switching back and forth between priority, ground advantage and UPS, and cutting smaller boxes down to minimum size needed, you can save an absolute fortune that way.

I agree with you, the other ebay sellers opened my eyes and that my box does NOT qualify and that price is for cubic and my box that was mentioned is too big. thank you very much for your response.
