Hello,
Sold a coin 20 days ago and today the buyer opened a eBay case because he wants refund. I have to take actions until 05 September.
I have 4 options - "Accept the return", "Give full refund", "Offer partial refund" and "Send the buyer message".
In my listing I did write that I do not accept returns and marked this option. The buyer claims that he is not sure that the coin he bought it authentically. I'm sure that the coin is authentically, because I bought it from one of the biggest Auction Houses in Europe.
I have sent him a message and attached proofs that I have bought the coin from an Auction House and the invoice with the coin.
What options do I have in this case, if we can't find a solution till 05 September eBay will automatically refund him or?
Regards,
Boril

so he filed an item not as described case? Your only option then, is to provide a return shipping label and refund after return. Otherwise, Ebay will refund him for you, and let him keep the item. Ebays money back guarantee trumps your no return criteria.

Yes, he filled item not as described case. Is this joke or this is how eBay really works? Then why we have options that we are not accepting returns? Where is the seller protections?

Hi @boril21
Since the buyer used one of the NAD reasons for requesting the return ... 'Item doesn't seem authentic' ... then eBay will issue an immediate refund AND let buyer keep the coin if they are asked to step in. [You'll also receive a defect and forfeit your fees.]
It's to your benefit to accept the return yourself in this situation.

No, this is no joke. And 'No Returns' is the worst policy a seller could use, in my opinion. Here's the Money Back Guarantee link. >> eBay Money Back Guarantee policy
Hang in there...

other than delivery confirmation, there is no seller protection. Yes, this is how Ebay works. the no returns option is only for remorse returns that the seller can deny. Like doesnt fit, dont like it, etc.

There are buyers that target sellers with No Returns to try and get free stuff.
It's always a good option to just allow returns from the start. It generally keeps those buyers away.

This is total joke. I'm deleting all my listings and stop using it...

But I have proofs that the coin is 100% authentically.

Why I don't want to accept it is because I have sent the coin to UK but since they left EU, I have to pay 30% import fees when I get parcels from UK. So I have to pay 30% taxes to get back my coin LOL

Was this a graded/encapsulated coin or just loose?
08-30-2022 09:29 AM
Was not graded/encapsulated, but I have an invoice from the auction I have won it.

Stomping your feet and going away is your privilege. BUT it's an unnecessary over-reaction to a common problem we all occasionally face, and with a simple solution:
Accept the return. Refund the buyer AFTER you receive the item back. Relist the item, this time without stating that you don't accept returns. Then get on with more listings and sales here, accepting returns. It's just an occasional cost of doing business.
Take emotions out of it.. it's business, not an affront to you personally. You're always going to run into some buyers that disagree with what you state about your items.
