So as I understand the latest development, all "qualified listings" (1 day handling, FP and IPR) will be auto opted in. If I change my handling to 2 days after that date does that affect those already opted into the GD or do I have to them individually?
It's probably a never mind anyway because I just realised there IS no global site preferences setting for handling time and I have to bulk edit them anyway (and hope to hell the revision fees that show up ARE only aas the blues put it "cosmetic").

Yes, you will have to opt out if you don't want to be involved with it

Or just keep the 3 day handling time in which case the listings will not qualify.

It's best not to trust the venue to actually uphold that requirement.

Apparently, if you do ship the next day anyway (regardless of you posted handling time) you will get the esteemed honor of being included anyway.

It is probably one of those 'cosmetic issues' that they are working on and will have ready soon May 1st.

I will wait until May 2nd to see how it went. There may be a crash of eBay, or the entire interweb as sellers scramble for the "opt out" button, and billions of buyers jump on all the new available GD items
I am hoping for........ "if you do not list with same/1 day handling your listings will not qualify".
I ship same/next business day most of the time, but do not list as such. I can not count on the weather, or the internet to be promising same/1 day handling. Then there is also the 11:59:59 east coast time purchase that would be problematic if I had anything to do the next day. I don't live on the west coast, and do not want to live on west coast time.
eBay claims they will take the "late" hit if you ship on time(and your carrier actually scans) , but I am fine without GD.
If a GD purchase fails, will the buyer be returning to purchase from YOU again?

This is going to be fun.
5/1 Forced into Guaranteed Delivery
5/22 Lose TRS status due to low volume, at which time I change to 2 day handling and no returns.
6/1 Don't have to worry about an increase in returns.
Should I opt out of GD? Will my 2 day change get me out of it, or will eBay have to learn the hard way?

If true, it's bad ENOUGH they already go by your "historical shipping time" rather than your stated handling time, but to opt a listing into the GD thing based on that is bordering on wilful disregard for a seller's settings.

Oh, my little grasshopper, let Master Po explain to you how ebay regards a seller's settings ...

From my understanding the listings will only show GD if you actually have your handling time set to same or one day. If you have a two day + handling, but actually ship in one day, the listing won't qualify since it is outside the handling time parameters.

No, they switched it up. Your posted "handling time" which is not visible to any buyer may be 10 days. You ship the next day anway, you get the new good news for sellers benefits of this new program anyway. Other than another dog badge, anybody have news of any seller perks for this?
