Yes, you brought me this nightmare buyer. I don't always look at buyer's feedback but this time I did and saw this.

I didn't want to ship the item but had to because it would end up bad either way, now after he received it, he says it's defective and wants a replacement or a refund, the item was sealed and new, I asked them to open a case and return. damned if you do and damned if you don't

Yes, I love that response too, but let's dim his fuses. ebay should work as hard to get rid of buyers like this as they do to sellers.

You can't cancel the sale for a buyer with too many negatives left, I would've. ebay will issue a defect

good time to eat a defect.  Just say you were 'out of stock'.  Or I occasionally use 'buyer asked to cancel the sale'.  Sometimes they don't follow through as it requires a small amount of work on their part...
