It's a sad, sad day. I lost my TRS Plus ribbon. I worked so hard to keep that all these years, and I lost it for something stupid like not offering free returns. Maybe I'll get it back, if more sellers drop it because too many returns.

I agree a very sad day. E bay will regret this move. It is going to loose lots of fine sellers disapointed because they lost the badge. i sill have it on some of my listing's. But can not offer onall as I mail lots of heavy itemsin packages. That E bay will not offer a return lable for. I do hope you the very best. With kindness of thoughts.

Don't feel too bad. We opted into the free returns and our sales have fallen for the last few days.

You are right. I think it is going to hurt more than help. Or just few un fair buyers to abuse the free returns.

Yup. I dropped mine on all 4 of my accounts.
I could be 100% wrong but I think eBay wants trs discount to go away without actually canceling it.
First they cut our discount in half, raised the on time metrics. They did loose a lot of trs for this but not enough for eBay's pocket. Free returns was the final straw and lost most of us.
ebay only cares about the bottom line and buyers. We will have to wait and see what the buyers think about waiting a few extra days to receive their packages.
I personally will still ship out next day or 2 but I now have a 3 day handling time just in case. I am no longer bending over backwards to get packages out quickly.

It will be ok , Never had it when I started won't have it when I finish here !
Edit
For some reason older listings still show it new listings don't .
Sure it will all go away soon

Couldn't agree with you more. TRS and TRS+ are earned levels of sales experience acquired over time and with experience. With all Sellers losing that status and the displayed badge they look no different from a 1 hour old new Selling ID. The other thing they did of course was to dumb down the TRS+ badge (for those who still have it displayed) ... when I first saw it to me it looked like a miniature blue Hospital sign, you know the ones I mean.
Home Office put 10 of my items in Free Returns and one was an Auction with bids on it ... Seriously? I can't even change things on an Auction with bids but they did.
Anyway, its obvious they are trying to make all Sellers look as generic and plane Jane as possible and emphasize eBay and not the Seller. They Renamed the Seller Information window "Shop with Confidence" and took the Seller info and stuck it BELOW in a new window ... thus separating the Seller from any TRS+ displayed status anyway.

I am in the old Selling Manager too ... mine changed when they shoved me in to Guaranteed Delivery last Tuesday. Another ID changed yesterday ... they are slowly rolling through all the Selling IDs ... your time till come (be patient LOL!) ... I've been busy with other things but I should have kept track of Views and Watched items since last Tuesday since I opted out of GD and then Thursday was Free Returns ... slae for me are DOWN since the weekend hit (Fri-Sat-Sun) ... Had I kept track of the Views and Watched item I would have been able to see if indeed sales are down because of no activity / visibility or they're just down ...

Oh, but now the Views counter is not showing an numerical values ... why in the world would they launch a new program feature on a Thursday and not a Monday? If they launched on Monday they'd have all week to work on the bugs ...

What disturbs me the most about the "free return policy" is the fact that eBay offers up a Free Return FILTER on the search page so bad buyers can find these listings SO easily. I know most buyers are great people, but I'm concerned that eBay has set up a perfect target range for the few bad apples to exploit sellers. It's ironic to think that sellers will be the ones filing SNAD claims on returned items to justify partial refunds.
What's even worse, I sell lots of books that are exempt from the free returns requirement, and many of my book listings have lost the TRS badge. I'd rather have a root canal than call eBay CSR about this... Hoping it will sort itself out by next week. (Though TRS isn't much good for me; I can't compete with the mega booksellers. It gives some visibility, but buyers look at my low-priced listings, check out the pictures and item description, and then buy DIRT CHEAP from the megas.)

I dropped TRS+ as well.
I will not buy in to eBay's "Free-for-All" Free Returns scheme.

Exactly what is happening, this has been going on for a long time to slowly whittle away sellers who receive the discount on final value fees. I lost my TRS yesterday and I did absolutely nothing wrong except not sign up for the guarenteed delivery thing and free returns. Both of those leave a very bitter taste in my mouth. Why can't eBay see the light and stop trying to kick sellers in the teeth, we are not that dumb or blind. Ebay needs to go back about 15 to 20 Years. Why not have two ebay sites to sell on Ebay New Age and Ebay Retro. I will pick Retro rules and regulations over this new fake **bleep** being shoved down my throat, getting tired of it, fed up!

That is my veiw also. They are going to kill them selfs with the plain jane look. If a seller has earned a level it should show on their listings. Same on ebay.
