I listed a box of Milwaukee N95 masks:
Listed as a 1 day Auction!
Starting bid at $0.99!
Free Shipping!
Mailed USPS Priority!
Mailed next day!
10% of sale going to relief Fund!
WOULD YOU SAY I WAS PRICE GOUGING?
It looks to me that the Gougers are the FAKE bidders that raise the bid price, bidding out needing legit American Buyers. Then these FAKE bidders contact eBay to report price gouging. When eBay removes the listing the seller is charged a 10% final value fee, of a value that has been inflated by these Fake Bidders. Thus, since the final value has been FAKE BIDDER inflated to a Price Gouging status, it Stands To Reason that a final value fee of 10% eBay charges seller for that removed listing, should also be classified as Price Gouging.
The listed item I mentioned at the begining:
1 day Auction!
Starting bid at $0.99!
Free Shipping!
Mailed USPS Priority!
Mailed next day!
10% of sale going to relief Fund!
?IS PRICE GOUGING??
Was bidded up to $300 with 4 hours left.
EBay removed listing. Here is what that accomplished:
1. thru no fault of mine,is charged $30.
2. Needing legit American bidders are FAKE BIDDER priced out.
3. EBay collects inflated profit on FAKE BIDDER inflated value.
Imagine if these Priced out true American Bidders or a family member, was to get infected, or God Forbidden, dies.
Can you imagine the ramifications?

I'm leaving the items on the store shelves so people that need them can get them.

If eBay kicks me off, that is on them.
I would not let that threat prevent me from trying to save American lives.
I am not going to repeat all the things I have already mentioned. If you are really trying to understand my concern. Then please read all the posts.
And understand that each and ever Fake Bidder raising bid from a listing of $0.99 to $300. Is causing Americans to die. For what reason?

People please, people are dying. What are you doing to help them?
eBay is discouraging sellers from buying them all up and reselling them, which in the long run will leave more of them available for the average american families who need them.

Do you really think that the average American family, broke from being out of work or hours cut, is really going to be able to afford $300? Really?
ETA: Why didn't you list them one day at a reasonable fixed price if you wanted to 'save lives'? Yes, I'm sorry for the sport bidders, too - you probably wouldn't have been paid for them anyway.

Now that you are on the record and so intent on helping your fellow man, maybe you should try listing again. It will help everyone.

It isn't the fake bidders, it's all the price gougers.
Leave the items on the store shelves so that people that need them can buy them.

I listed with opening bid of $0.99. on 1 only 2 boxes I have. Your leaving nothing on an empty shelf, leaves nothing.
I am pleading with you please, please understand. It is this eBay policy of allowing Fake Bidders to inflate prices, that is only hurting people, and killing people. And what good comes out of it!
If nothing else eBay should set a Max selling price.

I hate repeating myself. But here goes again.
I will not let the threat of being kicked off eBay prevent me from any action I know is the right one.
Look I have over 1,000 sales with a 100% POS feedback. I make every effort to do the right thing. And too many of us are missing the fact that it is the FAKE BIDDERS PRICE GOUGING. I LISTED 1 DAY AUCTION WITH STARTING BID OF $0.99, FREE SHIPPING, 10% GOING TO RELIEF FUND. IT IS THESE FAKE BIDDERS THAT RAISED THE PRICE. NOT ME! NOT THE NEEDING FAMILIES. IT IS THE FAKE BIDDERS.
WHEN DO THEY PAY FOR THEIR ACTIONS?

It doesn't matter if you listed them at $0.01 and free shipping.
They are not allowed to be sold on Ebay, what part of that don't you understand?

I did list at buy it now. The Fake Buyer bought it. And never paid. So I listed as an auction.
Look I am getting the feeling that I am in discussion with some of these Fake Bidders. Fake Buyers.
I am standing in the sun light shouting that these Fakes are causing more harm than good.
If as a Faker you are proud of it. Then stand up and come into the sunlight too. Proudly proclaim your Actions.
Proudly show yourself.

No one here is missing that there is gouging going on. If you truly want to benefit others, do NOT do an auction here, do NOT sell these items here. Seek to get these items into the hands of those who need them by another means - not here. You may feel it unfair, and yes it is, but that's the way it is right now - let eBay deal with these people.

You wanna help some one... send them to NY... the Governor is BEGGING for them.
Companies that already make masks or other necessary supplies and want to sell them to the state should contact Cuomo’s office at 646-522-8477 or by email at covid19supplies@exec.ny.gov.

It doesn't matter if it's listed as a BIN or auction, it isn't allowed to be sold on Ebay.

Good grief, dry your eyes. Most of us are regulars on this board and have been spending a lot of time trying to report these listings. We are here as volunteers trying to help you.
Just because you don't like what you're being told doesn't mean that you throw a tantrum and start calling names. Go ahead, relist, go through the same thing - it's your problem now.
