I have tried being patient, beyond patient actually. I had to give up my top rated seller that was well deserved because for 4 months I could hardly get a sale beyond auctions! My invoices screwed up. At one point I took on the offer of a 30-day trial, but canceled the next day. For 3 months in a row I have been charged and have recovered two of the three months. I found out a month ago that my sales were all being sent to Canada! So much for being a top rated seller with nearly 3,000 good reviews! Then they wonder why buyers get aggravated and stop shopping on eBay. Junkie sellers stay because no one wants them. I’ve started my new store. I put up promotions and found this morning they didn’t even show up as promoted, so I ended it. I’m at a loss at what else to do except move on over to Amazon.

I still feel the title is rude and I apologize for that. I guess I shouldn’t post when I’ve about had it.
It was suggested to me to put items on my old account (the account here) to see how it goes. I promoted the most valuable products. In looking at them this morning, it DOES seem to be helping. I will touch base when I see. NO TRS is of no benefit except for the discounts.
My invoice at this moment is $25.00, which it is usually $100+.

i understand you are upset about losing TRS but many buyers think it means nothing due to bad experiences, and some actively avoid those sellers due to those bad experiences. Losing it may not mean any loss in sales to you.
Good Luck.

It won't. But the TRS issue doesn't have any bearing on all those other legitimate complaints OP has either. If sales are suffering, it's likely other things that eBay is doing. Functionality problems and confusion is a reality for all eBay sellers.

I've also noticed promoted listings doesn't work I think they expect us to set the ad rate to 100% of the sale. Then I am sure things would sell. I think these days you have to have your items on more than one site as selling is just getting to tough. But yeh top rated means very little these days. Now are you selling internationally? To countires in UK, Europe and Oz and a few other countries? Because in Oz we don't see any listings for you and I think with increasing sales you have to sell globally. Check your postage policy.

True about the store deal. What aggravates me is I DO have a store, but it’s been neglected the past couple of weeks to get my products moved on eBay. I’m thinking that eBay just doesn’t have the reputation anymore that it once had and lack of buyers. If they only realized running off good sellers and keeping the bad is a BIG cause of it. When I say running off the good sellers, even if TRS has no meaning in listings anymore, I think at the VERY LEAST THE TSR’s should have an impact on CS reps (like someone who does care). Since we are not adequately assisted, we end up leaving and then guess whose left? I hate to see them go back down the tubes again, but if they don’t get a grip with their algorithm, lack of assistance, they may as well close eBay down.
In addition, I’ve sold on Amazon, eBay and lately my own store. I HOPE EBAY READS THIS PART: Amazon is not treating their sellers very well at all, really old eBay kind of treatement for those who were here 5 yrs ago (in my opinion and what I DO know reading their forums) and if I remember correctly someone from eBay is now running the show, so to speak, and if that is true HE should know that did not turn out well for eBay, that behavior took eBay down for a short while.
MY MESSAGE IF SOMEONE FROM EBAY EVEN READS THIS:
IN CASE SOMEONE WHO HAS INVESTMENTS WITH EBAY ISSUES - now would be a REAL GOOD TIME TO ADVERTISE AND PUSH EBAY (ADS AND MORE ADS) AND GET AHEAD OF THEM. STOP AND DO/NOT TRY TO FOLLOW THE LEADER BECAUSE LONDON BRIDGE COULD BE FALLING DOWN, IN MY OPINION, SO PLEASE TAKE CARE OF THE SELLERS AND SUPPORT, ALGORITHM PROBLEMS, PEOPLE WHO INADEQUATELY RESPOND WHEN YOU CALL, AND ADVERTISE AND TAKE A LEAD FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE WHO KNOWS WHEN.
BACK TO US! LOL
I believe buyers are looking for good sellers with their own stores. It takes a while to get established. I have a lot of repeated buyers at my store. I think “buyers” are getting very wise about why we the “seller”, them the “buyer” realize how to get really good, great prices and reliable selling experiences. The past few years, I can’t really complain about eBay. I think they have been very good to me as a TSR (even though it doesn’t guarantee you get to the top) and I have been patient. Back when I was even more uneducated than now, I didn’t understand throttling, and all the other complaints, but I do now understand a lot, so I don’t call them unless I absolutely have to and I have made a lot of phone calls in nearly 5 months. The reason I “have’ been working with them as I “used” to be able to move products than on my own store. Not now.

What really ticked me off while I was calling them over the problems, ebay was sending me emails about my competitor’s products BUT the part that got me was “from an experienced seller”.

ted, you're right. There have been reports of invoice issues and glitches lately~thus issues with functionality.

My words are probably a little harsh to say “junk”, but I do agree with dysfunctional for sellers.

I understand TRS has some benefit to the seller, but I really don't think it helps them as much as they think it does. Not when buyers may shun them because of that designation.

I don't know how effective promoted listings may be, but I have seen some listings that were promoted that really made me wonder why. Broken items. Sub par items. Possibly those would need more exposure to sell, but seriously, promoted listings for them?

Worse is in some categories like ancient coins etc I see fake coins from China being promoted ahead of USA sellers real coin listings.

I’ve been testing the waters. I have come to the conclusion that sales are just that slow, period. I hear other businesses are slow as well. My only left over complaint is they need better service reps and more advertising. We pay for it. If it’s not working, then they need to get busy. I guess ride it out.
