Your package is moving within the USPS network and is on track to be delivered by the expected delivery date. It is currently in transit to the next facility.

I get that all the time. It just means it is going to the next destination en route to you.
Better than mine -tracking number provided will update when it is in possession of the carrier. That was 3 days ago.
Called Post Office and they have no more info on their computer either.

USPS added an unhelpful update to that automatic, not-a-scan message today.
Previously, it said:
The item is currently in transit to the next facility as of August 11, 2018.
And now, it merely adds more words without saying anything:
Your package is moving within the USPS network and is on track to be delivered by the expected delivery date. It is currently in transit to the next facility.
That's because USPS still not know. Where Tarzan go. Either.

I suppose this wording may help justify a package that might be shipping from Michigan to New York with a stop in Phoenix.
