Hi huys,
I have been buying and selling on Ebay with a different acc but since things got too confusing, I made this new account to seperate my buying from selling for easier tracking.
Now with my new account, I have just got 1 feedback for 1 transaction so far, so I guess to a scammer, my acc appeared to be perfect victim
Today I listed 2 items, $600 and $225
- Higher price item was sold first, to a brand new acc. This person somehow requested my contact info from ebay, then text me asking for my paypal acc so he could send payment. I replied saying just pay it follow ebay policy without giving any info. He marked as paid but of course my paypal clearly has no payment from him. 100% sure he's scammer.
- later, the other item was also sold to a brand new acc. The thing is, this person did send a payment, which appeared as pendin in my paypal. Her address in Paypal was "confirmed" but as I looked carefully, I saw " the sender of this payment is Non-us Verified.
My concern is mostly on second case. I had been scammed with the " non us verified" seller before ( ebay covered it thanks god). But now I am the seller, and almost certain that this is also a scam. what would happen if the payment is cleared, Then I shipped my item and she claimed she does not get it or something like that? What do ebay usualy do in this situation? Anybody had experience with this before?
Any advice is much appreciated!

A number of these "pending" payments are cropping up...... lst be sure you are actually looking at the paypal account, not an email...... what happens seems to be they send a fake email that the payment has cleared and tells you to ship....... then the payment is cancelled and then soon after that ebay kicks the ID off.....
So, good pick up..........do NOT ship unless the actual transaction IN paypal says to......don't believe any emails. And frankly, I might call paypal just to be sure even if it does say to ship........

The first one does sound like scam but why do you think the second one is? eBay doesn't offer more seller protection for a buyer that is US verified vs one that isn't. But do not ship as long as the payment Is pending. Did PP tell you why it is pending? It could very well be a scam but I don't see evidence of that yet.

I would switch and use the older account for selling and use the new account for buying.

Hourglass on both transactions. Im kinda curious why ebay has to option to print out shipping label for the first transaction even though it's just the buyer marked it as paid.
So to be clear, you can print the label even though it has an houglass. This was a question last week. A seller was scammed out of $300 because ebay said paid and ship and he was able to print the label. He claimed there was an houglass. Some thought it was not possible.
Usually it is accompanied with a message to ship as soon as poosible as it is a birthday present or some fake jive.

@autumn1320107 does paypal say that it is ok to ship? For the pending payment belonging to the non-us buyer. I'm asking because there is a new scam popping up here with those type of buyers. Seems like paypal is saying its ok to ship and then the payments are being cancelled.

I think the email that seller received must be fake since I received nothing like that , not yet at least. But on my Ebay sold items page, I can clearly print out the shipping label for this, even though it has the hour glass saying :"buyer marked as paid".
I feel really bad for the seller you mentioned.

There is the flaw in the system. New Sellers fall for it. Another one is to cancel the payment after they see shipped.
