Suspension violating rules

Ok, so this automated policy enforcement is GARBAGE!  I just caught a 3 day suspension because a BUYER GAVE ME HIS PHONE NUMBER and we finished our transaction on ebay through ebay.  I ignored the message about his number and yet I still catch a **bleep** restriction?  I called ebay and they don't care.  They told me there is nothing they can do even though its painfully obvious that I DID NOTHING wrong.

Seriously, who else is strugging with this automated enforcement catching innocence?

Im to the point where I am about to flip the **** out.  This is so frustrating.

Suspension violating rules

I'm new here - been lurking and following much of the advice given as far as posting ID's, how to format titles - how not to bother with promoted listings and I appreciate that but it's very disconserting to see some posters that have been kissing butt in Weekly Chat - be so disrepspectful to the reps that are kind enough to come here and try to help. You may not agree with them - but show some respect as this reflects poorly on you.

Many of us on other venues wish we had the type of help you have here on Ebay where you can actually communicate to employees and they try to give you an answer or get you one.

I appreciate your opinion. This just happens to be mine.

In the old days - there was a way to ignore posters - these days - you just don't read the posts if you don't agree with them. Welcome to the boards - you will get a lot of help here and most are repsectful.

So I guess Ebay sellers need to block all messages from buyers and potential buyers. If you answer one of these requests, you're screwed. If you don't answer one of these requests, you're screwed.

Amiright??

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

I still also see many listings with numbers and addresses. not sure why that is happening??? Me I am paranoid to even ask a question. Like I wanted some measurements for some pans to see If they fit the ones in My set...There are s omany ways a Buyer needs to ask a Seller with something with NUMBERS! pretty far fetched.

NO, that is not true. Just answer that you will put the info into the listing for all to see. No restriction and no policy violation. If you choose the hard nosed route you will lose many customers and buyers hate it when they get blocked. Don't overthink it as it is a very simple process.

Proof?

People are getting zapped for "selling off eBay' even when it was sold ON eBay.

Show some proof as I have seen none so far. There have been two that started out saying they did nothing but it ended with them leaking out the real story.

Go back and read the real story. Turns out the OP needs phone numbers because his job is using those phone numbers to repair printers. Ebay can see the communications that actually take place. That is how they determine suspensions. It is not automated. Go back and read the "blues" story of how it works so you will understand how it works.

The OP got a suspension for moving sales off eBay when the sale in question was, in fact, completed on eBay. There's an item number right? That eBay assigned when the listing was created, right?

Nothing on the way from point A to point B here changes that fact.

Unless you work for Ebay you have NO IDEA what took place. Ebay does as they can read the messages that you are not privy to.
