I am a fairly new seller on ebay. I had run out of inventory for awhile but 4 weeks ago was able to post a lot of new items. Well the first 4 weeks went by with consistant sales, but then suddently this week I have many days with no sales and that is not how it has been. Is there a reason my sales would drop dramatically after 4 weeks of consistant sales? Does this happen to anyone else?

No. Yes.

It happens to sellers like me that have been out there for a decade-and-a-half. Nothing to worry about. Maybe people are getting ready for whatever school is coming up and not buying as many puzzles. It could be that simple.
It's a learning curve... Hang in there!

Welcome to the boards & ebay. Your streak just ended, I just purchased an item from you.
Yes, this happens to everyone. Seems to be no rhyme or reason for it sometimes. Just try and list something everyday and it will change, it always does. Something to get used to on here, change. Best of luck !

There have been claims that ebay gives new sellers a boost to rope them in. Soon after, the boost is gone and you're stuck in the same leaky boat as the rest of us.
Good luck!

It could be that as the country opens up people buying less puzzles because they are no longer staying at home as much? Just a guess.

The last 4 days have been terrible, no sales, and a lot less views than normal. Hang in there, seems to happen once a month for us, always right before or after they take their ebay payment out. Does anybody else notice a drop in sales and/or views around payment time? Seems like we see this every month, it's as if our store is invisible. Good luck everybody.

Actually this is fairly common. You'll find this as you go on selling. There are good weeks and bad weeks. My sales always go through the roof starting in October for the holidays. I'm not expecting the same amount of holiday sales this year due to covid and financial issues for many....

I have been selling on eBay since 1998, and still can't figure it out.
I have listings in the store that sit for months and sometimes a year or better, then boom they sell.
No rhyme, no reason.... just the nature of the eBay beast.
Good Luck, and don't give up.

thank you all for your help. We;ll see how the next few weeks go. I was just wondering if they somehow show up for a month and then fall way down the list. I will just keep on trying.

You could try an experiment. Select a few items that were selling and end them. Relist them and see if they sell better than those you did not end.

Someone at Ebay suggested that every 3 months an item needs to be restarted. Don't end and relist but end and sell similar.
